Darryl nodded. Then, he said thoughtfully, ''Don't call me Mister froin now on. My name is Darren, and I'm your brother.'' Since he had already hidden his identity, he could not let it be easily exposed.

Jewel was smart. She irnmediately understood Darryl's rneaning. ''My brother, Darren,'' she said with a smile.

Darryl srniled and nodded. He let Jewel lead the way.

On the way there, he saw someone selling candied hawthorns. So, Darryl bought one for Jewel.

''Thank you.'' Jewel was extremely moved. She was reluctant to eat the candied hawthorn, looking unspeakably adorable and charming.
