Zhang Jue had tricked Jackie into taking the Happy Powder and was waiting in the antehall, but Jackie did not show up despite how long he waited and so he decided to take a look. His gaze was drawn to Darryl the moment he entered the hall, much to his astonishment. Even with the cosn1etics, the three claw marks on Darryl's face were far too apparent for Zhang Jue not to notice him right away. Zhang Jue immediately leaped into action; he attacked without hesitation.

A strong aura erupted from hirn as he dashed forward.

''Zhang Jue!'' Darryl jerked forward in rage; he was surprised to see Zhang Jue. He never in1agined he would run into Zhang Jue right then and there.

''Darryl Darby!'' Zhang Jue grinned as indescribable exciteIT1ent and hatred stirred within hirn and said, ''I was just wondering how I could get a hold of you. I did not expect you to corne to me on your own. This rnust be fate. You will die today!'' Zhang Jue sumrnoned his inner strength and struck.

Jackie jurnped as the unexpected scene unfolded before her. Her eyes were fixated on Darryl the entire tirne while she tried to snap out of the trernendous shock.

A minute ago, she was still thinking about how she would rnanage the situation with Darryl's sudden appearance after he had been missing for more than three years. In the blink of an eye, he was there, in disguise, as he stood right in front of her. For a wo1nan as prideful as Jackie, how could she possibly accept that someone had toyed with her? She roared and tried to 1nake her way forward when she was surprised to find out that she had difficulty using her internal energy. On top  of that, a strange force seemed to have suppressed her energy field. 

On the other side of the roo1n, Zhang Jue struck with lightning speed, and before Darryl could react, his hand had already struck Darryl's body brutally. A vibration rumbled in the  air as Darryl's body flew about a hundred meters backward before it sla1nrned onto the ground. His blood spurted as if it was raining blood.

Pain ripped through his body; it al1nost knocked hi1n out. He could feel his blood flow and energy field were in disarray within him. Darryl was soon bathed in his own sweat, both from the pain and the danger of death if he did not have his internal energy to negate the impact. Zhang Jue's attack was truly powerful!

Zhang Jue laughed; he could not have been more excited at the sight. Then, he mocked Darryl. ''What a surprise, right? Darryl Darby, you might be the Nine Mainland's hero, but you will die at my hands today. With you gone, nothing can stop Ille from ruling over the Nine Mainland.''

''Zhang Jue!'' Darryl paled in pain as he glared at Zhang Jue. ''Is ambushing another man all you can do? A man as despicable as you will never gain acceptance from others, even with me gone,'' he said coolly.

''Well then, I will just have to kill whoever refuses to accept me. Don't worry about that.'' With a ferocious expression,  Zhang Jue began to approach Darryl when Jackie shouted from behind him. ''Zhang Jue, don't kill him yet; we still have use for him.''
