Chapter 3419

Darryl rubbed his eyes and felt dispirited. Why would the Queen request for his presence that early in the morning? He quickly washed up and rushed to the main hall.

Once there, he was stunned. The Queen was sitting on the throne, and below her stood the mayors of their respective cities. Not only that, Dennis and Angeline were there too. standing in front of Dennis was a kind-looking middle-aged man who happened to be Dennis' father, Marshall Reeves, the garrison's commander-in- chief.

However, the person that captured Darryl's attention was a woman standing opposite Marshall. She dressed her graceful body in a fuschia long gown, and any man would swoon when they saw her seductive face, which was what had happened to Darryl. He was almost mad for her, and he was even drooling.

'Who is she? Her body and face are comparable to the Queen! Her seductive aura is out of this world. She will definitely become famous if she works in the Nine Mainland's entertainment industry,' Darryl thought. Then he noticed Angeline blinking at him, and he instantly got the message, so he quickly went and stood beside her.

"Is this your first time here?" Angeline asked in a whisper. "You seemed speechless."

"I started to panic when the Queen summoned me here," Darryl replied in a whisper as well. Then he snuck another glance at the seductive woman.

"Hey!" Angeline said unhappily when she realized who Darryl was looking at. "Are you even listening to me? Why do you keep staring at that old seductress?" Her face was filled with disdain.

'Seductress?' Darryl thought with shock.

"Haven't you heard of the infamous Madame Pandora? There's no man she cannot seduce," Angeline said with pouting lips.

'Oh, so that's who she is,' Darryl thought as understanding dawned on his face. In the two days since he had been in the palace, Darryl had heard many interesting and unusual stories. Some of them were about Madame Pandora's. According to the rumors, Madame Pandora's husband used to be a Marquis who held significant influence in court. Unfortunately, he died protecting the principality from an invasion. The Queen was so heartbroken that she bestowed her special privileges as an act of gratitude for her husband's courageous sacrifice. Thus, she became the only woman in the whole of the Roland Continent to hold the title of a Marquis.

However, it was not the title of Marquis that made her famous. It was the stories of her wantonness when it came to men. Everybody had heard the stories of how she could have any man she wanted wrapped around her little fingers. Darryl simply smiled when he listened to those stories, not thinking he would be able to meet her one day.

Darryl snapped back to his senses after a while and asked Angeline, "By the way, do you know why Her Majesty asked to see me here?"
