“Wait!” shouted Golden Lion grudgingly and fearfully.

Bonnie stopped and turned back to look at him. “Have you changed your mind?”

Golden Lion took a deep breath and set aside his ego.

“I’ll take you to see her,” he said in a low voice.

He was still burning with rage as he said this. However, he was left with no choice but to surrender, for what would people say if the great paladin was found poisoned to death?

A smile broke out on Bonnie’s face as she looked at the other paladins and asked, “How about you all?”

The other 11 paladins glanced at each other and all turned to nod at her. “We’ll do it too!”

To them, it was more important to stay alive.

Bonnie was satisfied with their answers and went to release them from their paralysis. Looking at the scene before her, Yuri gently bit her lips as her heart filled with mixed emotions. She thought Bonnie was too ruthless and was starting to question whether it was right for her to help Bonnie.

“All done. Take me to see the Goddess of Light now that you have regained your movement,” said Bonnie with a smile.

The paladins nodded, jumped on a ship, and headed to the island where the Temple of Lights was. They could not fly back because they had been poisoned.

Meanwhile, back at the Hibiscus Manor, Darryl had his eyes closed which successfully fooled Madame Pandor into thinking he had really fainted. She gently laid him down on the couch and poured a drink for herself from the table beside her.

Darryl carefully opened his eyes and saw Madame Pandora’s gaze fixed on the door as if she was waiting for somebody to arrive.

Soon after, the door was gently pushed open by a tall, middle-aged man who then slowly walked inside. He wore a luxurious robe and his expression was both sinister and excited.

‘sh*t! It’s Marshall! what was he doing here?’ Darryl was startled by his entrance. He quickly closed his eyes again.

“Your Excellency is finally here! ” said Madame Pandora as a way of greeting.

Marshall glanced at Darryl and laughed coldly. “Did it work?”
