Chapter 3490
Darryl smiled at Yalena’s overwhelming excitement when she saw him. He walked over and lifted his hand to release Yalena's acupoints. Then, he discharged his internal energy to break the chains on Yalen’as hands and feet.
Yalena was free, but she was still weak after being detained for an extended period of time, she got out of bed, feeling excited and looked at Darryl closely. “Teacher, is this real?” 1
Her eyes blurred with tears when she spoke.
"Yes, I’m real." Darryl smiled faintly.
Yalena was so excited and happy to hear Darryl’s reply, she could not hold herself together and threw herself into Darryl's arms. " Teacher, I'm so scared these days. I'm afraid that the Temple of Light will be destroyed completely. But, now that you are back, I’m sure that everything will be alright."
Darryl was taken aback momentarily when he felt Yalena in his arms. Then, he smiled. “Yalena, please calm down.”
He thought Yalena had become even more beautiful after they had been apart for a while. Even though she was detained, her transcendent temperament was still there.
Yalena heard Darryl and realized she was a little too excited, she blushed with shame and quickly let go. For a while, the atmosphere was a little awkward.
A few seconds later, Yalena reacted and said, "Teacher, that woman, Bonnie, is very powerful. Let's..."
In the middle of their conversation, they heard faint footsteps coming closer.
Yalena trembled and grew flustered.
"It must be Bonnie. She’s been coming around very often these past two days, asking me to reveal the secrets of the Temple of Light,” she said in a panic, becoming upset.
Darryl looked at ease and comforted Yalena. "Don't panic."
He told Yalena to lie on the stone bed and then he hung the iron chains on Yalen’s hands and feet, pretending that she was trapped. Then, he told her, “Try your best to attract her attention later.”
The Goddess of Light, Yalena, was very smart and understood what Darryl meant right away as she nodded, when the sound of the footsteps got closer, Darryl stayed quiet and quickly hid behind the stone bed.
As soon as he hid, he saw a charming figure sauntering into the secret chamber, she was dressed in a golden robe and she wore a multicolored crown that accentuated her charming figure. She also exuded a powerful and intimidating aura. Her outfit was a sharp contrast to the frail and miserable Yalena.
The figure was Bonnie.
After entering the secret chamber, Bonnie noticed the knights guarding the door were missing. Her eyebrows furrowed and she muttered to herself in a displeased tone, "what a bunch of scum! They’re lazy even when they’re told to guard someone."
