Chester quickly came to his senses, smiling at Quincy. "I'm more than happy to let bygones be bygones if you are. May I ask what your plan is now?"

Quincy smiled lightly. "Chester Wilson. You are Sect Master of the Eternal Life Palace Sect, and I know you are a man of great wisdom and strategy. You, of all people, should know of Archfiend Antigonus's terrifying power, and that it is nigh impossible to defeat him with the manpower you have."

Quincy spoke with resolution. "I am proposing that the Carter family members, as well as the Hidden Hero Sect, join US. This concerns the safety of our home in the Nine Mainland, and I hope you agree for the sake of the bigger picture."

The last of her words were spoken with utmost arrogance, and Quincy's face was the picture of satisfaction.

It was true. Quincy had held back from lashing out at Dax so that she could convince the Carter family members and the Hidden Hero Sect to join her.
