The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 4144

Chapter 4144

Aside from Oliver, Darryl was the second most suspicious person among everyone else.

Darryl had helped the demons escape before. On top of that, he was close to the White Tiger King and Color! Phoenix. If it was not him who leaked the message, who else could it be?

At that moment, the fiend race warriors had their eyes on him.

Suddenly, the air was filled with tension.

Darryl was utterly calm as he smiled lightly at Morticia. "Honorable Fiend Martyr, you overestimated me. I've been by your side the moment you decided to come to the Demon tribe's new territory. I would not be able to do that even if I wanted to leak the message," Darryl said with a calm demeanor.

That made sense.

Morticia nodded without questioning him any further.

Oliver was not satisfied as he said, "Honorable Fiend Martyr, don't listen to his excuses. He's the sneakiest person I know. Who knew what he really did to inform the demons? I say we bound and interrogate him-"

Oliver glared at Darryl with absolute detest.

Oliver had always wished for Darryl's death. Of course, he would not let any chance slip by his hands.

"Enough! I know what I'm doing. You're in no place to tell me what to do." Morticia cut him off coldly. Her voice was firm and packed with power.

Oliver kept silent when he saw Morticia's expression, but he continued to throw icy glares at Darryl.

Morticia scanned her surroundings and said, "Inspect your surroundings. Check for any evidence left by the demons before they departed."

The fiend warriors hummed in agreement and spread out to look for evidence within the area.

Ten minutes passed in the blink of an eye, but the warriors came up empty- handed. Morticia's face was frozen in rage as fury shot through her vein.

’D*mn it! I thought we would be able to take down the demons with Oliver leading the team. I can't believe there is only disappointment.'

'We can't even find a single piece of evidence,' she thought.

"Honorable Fiend Martyr!"

A fiend general approached her and bowed before he said, "We found a land deep inside the territory blocked by wooden stakes and stones by the entrance. It seemed suspicious, so I didn't proceed."

Wooden stakes and stones?

Morticia and Oliver were stunned when they heard that.

'Did Colon Phoenix set up the Mountain Wood Formation before the demons leave?' Darryl frowned as he thought to himself.

He had only taught the Mountain Wood Formation to Color! Phoenix. He immediately thought of the formation when he heard about the wooden stakes and stones.

"Let's check it out!"

Darryl was still deep in his thoughts when Morticia ordered her troops to head toward the area.

"Wait for me, Honorable Fiend Martyr," Oliver said as he wheeled himself in that direction.

The corners of Darryl's mouth curled upward as he let out a looming smile before he tailed the rest of the group.

They quickly arrived at the land. Morticia furrowed her brows as she was greeted by the scene before her.

Oliver seemed to be stunned as well.

The ground was plastered with thousands of thick wooden stakes with big rocks scattered between them. At first glance, it looked messy and random, but there was something weird about it that no one could quite put their fingers on.

As expected, it was the Mountain Wood Formation.

Darryl nodded when he saw the stakes and rocks.

Darryl had invented the Mountain Wood Formation. When Darryl first obtained the Bai Qi Formations, he had learned to create his own formations. He combined two of the lowest grade formations-Groot Formation and Mountain Rock Formation-to make the Mountain Wood Formation.

The Mountain Wood Formation had woods within rocks and rocks within woods. It gathered the strong points from the Groot Formation and Mountain Rock Formation, and its power was twice as strong. Breaking in would either cause death or serious injuries.

He did not expect Color! Phoenix to have such a talent to master it in such a short amount of time.
