The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 4166

Chapter 4166

At that moment, Solar General spat out blood and he had exhausted his energy. However, his eyes were wide open. Even in his death, he did not understand what happened to him though he did not betray the Godly Region.

Then, General Grunt picked up the golden gun and rushed towards the Nine Heaven Emperor. He got onto his knees and pretended. "Your Majesty, I was too furious and I couldn't control myself. Please, punish me."

As he spoke, he kept his head low and did not dare to look at the Nine Heaven Emperor.

The Nine Heaven Emperor sighed and waved his hand. "Forget it. You did the right thing. If everyone could be loyal to me like you are, why would I need to worry about Archfiend Antigonus? Prepare the countermeasures I told you earlier. We must be ready before dawn."

’Yes, Your Majesty,’ General Grunt answered and scurried out of the secret chamber as he brought out Solar General's corpse.

As he stepped out of the secret chamber, he smirked and his mood lightened up.

'Solar General is dead now and I don't have to worry anymore,' he thought as he looked at Solar General's body.

’Solar General, don't blame me for being heartless to you. I have to do that in order to take credit for myself," he murmured to himself.

Then, he called over a few Grand Weapons and ordered them to handle Solar General's corpse.

After that, General Grunt gathered dozens of generals and started to alter the Innate Formation surrounding the Imperial Sky Palace according to the Nine Heaven Emperor's instructions.

Meanwhile, Darryl had returned to the tent at the fiend race camp and saw that the Black Tortoise King was waiting impatiently.

"How was it?" The Black Tortoise King quickly asked as he saw Darryl had returned.

"I've passed the letter to Solar General and told him to pass it to the Nine Heaven Emperor. I'm sure by now, the Nine Heaven Emperor has seen the letter," Darryl said, smiling.

'Great.' The Black Tortoise King was excited and scowled. "But, the Nine Heaven Emperor is always suspicious. Do you think he'll believe what you've written?"

Darryl thought about it and smiled. "As long as he's not stupid, I'm sure he'll understand."

However, he had a bad feeling. ‘The Black Tortoise King was right. The Nine Heaven Emperor is suspicious by nature. Would he think that I made it up? Fine. I've done my best. I'm innocent no matter what happens.'

The Black Tortoise King could not afford to linger too long and quickly returned to his tent after chatting with Darryl for a while.

Soon, it was night. After being out and about for the whole day, Darryl was exhausted and sat down to rest.

Soon after, a cold voice came from the outside. "Darryl!"

It was Oliver.

Darryl opened his eyes and spoke through the curtain, "What is it? Cut the crap and quickly tell me."

'D*mn it. Oliver's everywhere. I bet he's up to no good by coming to me so late,' he thought.

Feeling ignored by Darryl, Oliver's face turned dull as he stood outside.

However, he quickly snapped out of it and said, "Morticia the Witch wants to see you in her tent." 1

'Morticia wants to see me?' Darryl was stunned and frowned. "It's so late. Why does she want to see me?"

"How would I know? Perhaps it's something important. The Witch didn't tell me what it's about. You can stay here if you don't believe me," Oliver scoffed and his eyes flickered with treachery.

'D*mn you!' Darryl stood up hesitantly and saw Oliver snickering. He did not want to entertain him and walked towards Morticia's tent.

He sensed that Oliver was sabotaging him but, at the same time, he could not be certain that it was not true. What if Morticia was really looking for him; he would be in great trouble if he did not turn up. After all, he just surrendered to the fiend race and he needed to be extra careful to not make any mistakes.

Oliver smirked as he saw Darryl walk away. 'Darryl's such a fool. He believed me.'

Then, he pushed the wheelchair into Darryl's tent and started searching. Morticia never asked for Darryl. It was all a trap set by Oliver so he could search Darryl's tent to find evidence. Oliver knew Darryl had not truly surrendered to the fiend race.
