Chapter 4238
Gonggong was the all-powerful Water God in the North Moana continent, with a reputation that she had built over a thousand years. There were very few who could hurt her. Yet, she could not even protect the royal city. How would that battle go anywhere?
Gonggong bit her lip in nervousness and frustration when she saw the royal guards escape with their lives.
She wanted nothing more than to cry out to the guards to continue fighting, but she could not bring herself to do that.
Gonggong knew that she would have no chance at protecting the royal city, and she was agonized by the fact.
However, she managed to calm down quickly enough. Without further thought, she cast an attack that would use up her energy. The attack constricted the air it passed through with terrifying strength.
Lord Kenny and the generals were aware of her power. They retreated quickly, not daring to meet her attack.
Gonggong took advantage of the situation and turned to soar off into the heavens in one swift move.
In the middle of her escape, Gonggong turned toward Lord Kenny and shouted, "Just you wait, Lord Kenny. I'll be back for my kingdom."
F*ck!
Lord Kenny's face darkened. He waved his hands and roared, "Seize her. Anyone who brings Gonggong back alive will gain my favor."
"Yes, Your Majesty." The New World Royals soared into the sky and took off in the direction of Gonggong.
Gonggong's speed was other-worldly, and she left the New World Royals in the dust before they could even blink. Before long, she had flown far ahead, nowhere to be seen.
"Idiots!"
Lord Kenny could hardly contain his anger as he roared, "What good are you for if you can't even catch up to a woman?" Lord Kenny’s gaze hardened, and he turned to Yvette, who was still in mid-air.
"Honorable Lady Lane."
Lord Kenny took a deep breath before he said, "Don't let Gonggong escape. Bring her to me." Gonggong was the North Moana continent's Marshal. Her escape will mean nothing but trouble in the future."
However, Yvette seemed not to have heard him, remaining completely unmoving. "I only promised to help you attack the royal city, Lord Kenny. I never agreed to help you go after anyone after that. Don't twist it around."
Lord Kenny could hardly contain his anger, but he could not think of a response.
Then, the New World Royals had taken down the last of the North Moana soldiers. They cried out in celebration, and their cheers rang through the heavens.
Lord Kenny felt entirely at ease as laughter escaped him as well. His men moved forward to congratulate him as they escorted him into the royal palace.
Yvette followed suit, but she did not make a sound.
Upon entering the palace, Lord Kenny could not help but draw a deep breath, overwhelmed with emotion.
The North Moana palace definitely looked like somewhere Emperor Hou Yi would have lived in all its splendor. It was far more extensive than the palace in the New World.
Behind him, the generals were in awe as well.
That was the North Moana palace. For as long as time had passed, the North Moana continent had been an impenetrable force, and no other continent could match up to them. It was fair to say that attacking the North Moana continent was something no one would even dare to do in their dreams.
Yet, they were in the North Moana palace. They had defeated their enemy.
That would be a lifelong legacy to anyone who had been a part of that.
