Upon seeing Logan's reaction, Antigonus chuckled arrogantly.
Phew!
Logan came back to his senses and was about to leave the room to see Ileana and report the news to her.
"Why now?"
Antigonus asked calmly, "Are you reporting to the King of the Dead?"
Logan stopped, suppressing his fear he said, "That's right, I have to report such an important matter to the King and hear his order."
Antigonus said calmly, "And then what? What would the King do when he finds out? Trap my soul?"
Logan was showing a myriad of emotions, he did not respond. But the silence was enough said.
Since the fact that the Anitgonus survived was a huge news, if words got out, the world would tremble.
"Ha ha…"
Seeing as Logan agreed silently, Antigonus chuckled and said, "You're so loyal and responsible. But let me ask you, what do you get out of reporting this to the King?"
Well…
Logan mumbled under his breath without knowing what to say.
Antigone took a step forward, even though he was just a lost soul, his aura was terrifying as ever. "I'll answer that for you, after reporting this to the King, you'd be rewarded for a day tops. After that, you're still a mere envoy looking after this place, without going anywhere else. Am I right?"
"You…"
Logan felt complicated upon hearing that. "What exactly are you trying to say?
Logan looked over the Sixth Path of Reincarnation, whilst the Anitgonus was just a lost soul, his fate was in Logan's hands completely. But facing Antigonus, Logan felt utterly defeated for some reason.
That… was the power of the Archfiend Antigonus.
"Don't be nervous!"
Antigonus smiled as he softened his tone, "I was just calculating it for you, you won't get much in return if you rat me out. But if you work alongside me, that'll be a completely different story."
It was as if that sentence was enchanted, Logan's heart tightened and asked without thinking, "Work with you? How so?"
Antigonus did make sense, even though the King did look upon him, all he was given was just a reincarnation center, but if he were to help Antigonus, he would have a chance to become the King himself…
However, if he were to help him, he would become a criminal within the whole universe.
Seeing as his expressions were changing and struggling to make a decision, Antigonus said calmly, "If you're worried of becoming the ultimate criminal after helping me, you're wrong. When I take control of the universe, you'd be a huge contributor and the new King. Who would've dared to say anything about you?"
"If you don't help me, you'll stay like this for the rest of your life."
"And if you do help me, it's only going up from now."
Antigonus looked out of the room and said, "It's almost time. What's your decision?" Logan was holding back his annoyance then. F*ck, he should have never taken him in as a pupil in the first place! Yet there was no choice— since he had come here, he had to figure out a way to fix it.
"Master!" At the sight, Theodore could not help but call out— yet he had only gotten one word out before Logan glowered at him, shutting him up immediately.
"So you want to fix this."
Just then, Antigonus spoke slowly as he remained seated. "Have the kid give me all he has, and I'll forget what happened today. Or I swear I won't let it go till the end of time."
To tell the truth, Antigonus did not care about money in the slightest. Yet reviving to full peak with another body would take an incredibly strong body itself, and this would require a great deal of money to achieve.
