The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 4829

Uhh…

Sensing Old Master Stanford's fury, Darryl was completely at a loss. Nevertheless, he tried his best to explain patiently.

"You must be Old Master Stanford. I'm going to be honest with you. My name is Darryl Darby. I'm not the Derrick Darby you've been looking for. I'm from another land. I was just passing by that hill when I was captured by your men and brought back here."

Huh?

Old Master Stanford frowned.

Gerald could not help but walk over and smack Darryl's head once again, crying out, "You're still on that, huh? How are you still this shameless at this point? What's all this about Darryl Darby and a different land? I think you're looking for a beating!"

As he spoke, Gerald turned to address Old Master Stanford. "He's gone too far this time, Old Master Stanford. I say we punish him and teach him a little lesson."

Motherf*cker. That statement alone warranted a punishment?

Darryl was shocked.

Old Master Stanford merely waved a hand, saying impatiently, "Tomorrow's the big day. If we injure him too much, we'll still be making a fool out of ourselves. Just lock him up and have him reflect on his actions."

"Alright!"

Gerald called out, turning to look at Darryl. "It's your lucky day, *sshole!"

He hauled Darryl upright and dragged him out of the grand hall as he spoke.

"I…"

Darryl was just about to repeat once again that they had gotten the wrong man, yet Gerald did not give him the slightest chance to do that. Instead, he dragged him into a room in the backyard.

Gerald shoved him into the room, scoffing coldly, "You don't know how lucky you are to be able to marry into the Stanfords, you bastard. Know your place. Tomorrow's the big day. If you dare sneak off again, I'll make sure I break your legs."

Thump!

Gerald slammed the door shut before bolting it with a lock as he finished speaking.

F*ck me!

At the situation, Darryl was utterly speechless. How the hell did he even end up as a lowly son-in-law?

Whatever. He needed to think of how to recover his powers.

As he pondered to himself, Darryl sat cross-legged and began to meditate while trying to break past the curious energy holding his fairy soul down.

The seconds ticked by, slow as molasses.

Darryl was still able to stay pretty patient at first. However, he tried many times and still found no way to break past or eliminate the energy. He grew frustrated as his forehead beaded with sweat from the concentration.
