"Back at the Heavenly Secret Realm, I heard Senior Brother say that my master had had some hidden pains. It sounded like what he had said…"
Nora did not dare be as stubborn as Gigi because she had seen what Darryl was capable of, so she started lecturing her.
Pfft…
Gigi could not help but giggle. "Come on, Junior Sister. He was just trying something by saying that. Think about it. Wouldn't he see everything if we were to come out of the water? And that nonsense about problems from staying too long in the water? You're too naive if you believed that."
Gigi began to tremble as she spoke. Her hands flitted to her temples as her brows arched.
All at once, Gigi's complexion paled as her chest pounded in shock.
How strange! She had been fine. Why did she suddenly start to feel weak and achy?
"Senior Sister!"
Nora's expression shifted as she scrambled to ask, "How are you?" She could see that the blood had drained from Gigi's face, and she looked extremely pale.
They were in a hot spring. How could that be?
It was impossible.
Darryl did not turn his head from where he was. Instead, he said lightly, "See, I told you. You didn't want to come up when I told you to, and now your internal system is all messed up."
What?
Gigi's expression shifted as she stared intently at Darryl's figure in shock and confusion. "You… Tell me the truth now! Did you do something? Have you poisoned me?"
Many people in the world were skilled at using poison and could kill someone while leaving no evidence. Gigi was convinced that Darryl had poisoned her and that the hot spring had nothing to do with it, regardless of how she might have felt.
Yet, Nora remained silent, falling deep into thought.
