'F*ck!'
Ambrose and Neil were mortified when they saw Antigonus. They quickly hid behind a rock. After they fought with Antigonus, they knew how powerful and terrifying he was.
However, they did not panic either. It was clear that Antigonus had just come out for a walk and that he would leave soon. What annoyed Ambrose and Neil the most was that he stood in front of the platform of the stone house without moving. Antigonus gazed at the ocean and spaced out.
The time slowly passed. One minute… Two minutes, five minutes…
Soon, ten minutes had passed, and Antigonus still stood at the platform with no intention of leaving.
Ambrose and Neil started to panic. Ambrose clenched his fist so tight that his palm began to sweat.
'Damn it! How can I check the stone house if this guy doesn't leave? What should I do?'
Neil furrowed his brows and looked at the sky. The sun was almost up in the sky.
Neil looked solemn as he suggested, "Ambrose, we can't wait any longer. The sun is almost out. Our last resort is to exchange hostages."
'Exchange hostage?'
Initially, Ambrose did not understand, but he soon realized what Neil meant. "Are you saying… We head back to the bedchamber, kidnap the baby, and exchange the baby with Heather?"
Ambrose was quite brilliant too, so he immediately knew what Neil was thinking.
Neil nodded. "Yes. Since it's their baby, it means that the baby is very important to them. I'm sure they're willing to exchange."
Ambrose exhaled heavily and made the decision. "Alright. Let's do what you mentioned."
Her eyes showed how scared she was. The acupoints which Ambrose had tapped were to disallow the maid from talking and moving, but the maid was still conscious.
He slowly held the baby in his arms and said to the maid, "Don't worry. The acupoints will be unlocked after four hours. I'm not going to kill you. Once you can move, pass a message to your Empress. Tell her to send a girl named Heather to a deserted island twenty miles away southeast.
"Let me make it clear. I don't want to hurt the baby, so the Empress should not try to do anything phony. Is that clear? Blink if you understand."
The maid was in great horror as she blinked immediately.
Since the maid cooperated very well, Ambrose said nothing else, wrapped the baby in a small blanket, and tied it to his body. Then, he ran out of the bedchamber.
Neil waited impatiently outside. When he finally saw Ambrose, he was relieved. He urged, "Ambrose. Hurry, the sun is almost out. Let's go."
Ambrose nodded and quickly headed toward the seaside with Neil covering him. Then, with a blink of an eye, they both disappeared into the night sky.
