A maid came over and respectfully asked Veron, "Miss Lange! What do you want to eat?"
Looking at Ambrose, Veron replied, "As usual, I'll eat whatever Ambrose is having."
Then, she gave Heather a defiant look.
'It's obvious that I often have breakfast with Ambrose. Although you're a princess of the Sea Mackie Clan, you never ever spent much time with Ambrose,' Veron thought.
"Yes, miss!" The maid replied and left.
Seeing that, Heather did not get angry at all. Instead, she asked with a smile, "Veron, do you often have meals with Ambrose?"
Heather could see that Veron was against her, but she did not care.
With a cold and arrogant look on her face, Veron said indifferently, "Of course! Ambrose and I have known each other for five years. We have a lot of common hobbies and eating habits. As for you, you're used to seafood since you came from the Sea Mackie Clan. The breakfast here may not suit your appetite."
Veron's words were still full of thorns.
Heather smiled and did not mind.
However, Ambrose could not help but frown as he questioned Veron, "What are you talking about, Veron?"
Who could stand Veron's bratty personality?
"I'm telling the truth."
With an innocent look, Veron asked, "Doesn't she live in the middle of the ocean? All she does is eat fish and shrimp all day. Were there plenty of food options there?"
Seeing that Ambrose defended Heather, Veron was even more unhappy.
"All right!"
Seeing the tense atmosphere, Heather hastened to mediate the dispute and said softly to Ambrose, "You're right. I seldom come on land. The food here is indeed different from that of our Sea Mackie Clan, but I'll get used to it."
Hearing that, Ambrose nodded with a smile.
Veron snorted.
Several maids nearby could not help but whisper among each other upon witnessing the scene.
"I won't eat anymore!"
Seeing that, Veron could not help but throw away the spoon, turned around, and left angrily.
Earlier, Ambrose and Heather spoke and laughed as if no one else was around, which had already made Veron very unhappy. Then, she saw Ambrose blowing on the porridge for Heather.
No girl could stand it, let alone someone like Veron.
Seeing that Veron left angrily, Heather could not help but ask Ambrose gently, "She… Is she okay?"
Heather was so smart that she could pick up that Ambrose was intimate with her earlier, partly to annoy Veron.
Ambrose waved his hand and said indifferently, "That girl is just spoiled. She's fine. Come on, let's have breakfast."
Yes!
Hearing his words, Heather stopped asking and began to eat quietly.
The two did not know that Veron did not go far but sat in a pavilion not far away, sulking. She could not figure out what special charm Heather had to make Ambrose so obsessed with her.
