He touched his nose and said carefully, "Girl, your father had passed away a long time ago, and the Heavenly Secret Palace was destroyed a thousand years ago."
He took the silk handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to Lindsey as he spoke. "Your father wrote this. It was beneath the coffin in which you had been sleeping in. Have a look."
What?
Lindsey trembled, and her mind raced when she heard that. She thought she had misheard.
Did the Heavenly Secret Palace vanish after her father died?
A thousand years had passed?
She was still young and had never experienced any ups and downs. Darryl's words were as unbelievable to her as some fantasy stories. She was completely taken aback when she saw the handkerchief.
She could tell right away that it was a silk handkerchief used in the Heavenly Secret Palace. There was no other place that used such materials.
Lindsey tried to calm down and read the writings carefully the next second. She was frozen a few minutes later, looking like a wooden statue.
"Wow!"
Finally, dozens of seconds later, Lindsey came to her senses. She crouched on the ground and cried, "Father, Uncles, why did you leave me alone here?
"Now I'm the only one left. What should I do? Father, I miss you so much. I miss you so much!"
Lindsey's tears streamed down her cheeks like pearl strings. Her voice was filled with loneliness, leaving anyone who heard her heartbroken.
Darryl felt uncomfortable. He wanted to console her but did not know where to begin. Darryl had been through many ups and downs, but that was the first time Lindsey had encountered such a situation.
After sleeping for a thousand years, her relatives and friends had already died. Only the people involved could understand that lonely feeling. Furthermore, Lindsey was only 12 or 13 years old.
'Forget it. Let her cry.'
She would feel better after she cried.
