"Hey!" As Darryl pondered, Rachelle bit her lips tightly and said, "I've already answered whatever you asked. It's time to let me go, right?"
Darryl grinned and looked cheeky as he said, "If you're here to harm me, do you think I'll let you go so easily? And, you said you'd stay by my side and do just about anything.
"I lack a maid like you, so just stay by my side obediently."
As he spoke, his eyes were filled with mockery.
Rachelle shuddered, and she was enraged. "Darryl, don't go too far."
'I only hid my identity to get close to him. Why would I stay by his side as a maid?'
'Go too far?'
Darryl chuckled and said, "It sounds like you getting close to me with an agenda and wanting to control me is not going too far?"
Rachelle's face was flushed; for a moment, she did not know how to respond.
Suddenly, they heard hurried footsteps from the woods nearby. Then, Adam appeared with dozens of elites from the True Flame Sect.
Darryl furrowed his brows when he saw Adam and the others. 'These people from the True Flame Sect are indeed quick to action. It looks like they have been following us for the past two days.'
Darryl guessed correctly. As Rachelle was carrying out the plan, Adam and many elites secretly protected her. Adam hid in a dark corner when the two of them were caught by the mountain bandits the day before. He knew her capability, so he was not worried.
Half an hour before that, Rachelle had killed all bandits at the cottage and met up with Adam. She told him about Darryl getting injured, and they decided to forcefully cast the Charm Person Spell on him when they found him.
Deep down, Adam was utterly excited and supportive of Rachelle's decision when he learned of the situation.
Half an hour had passed. Adam thought his junior sister would have captured Darryl, and so he excitedly brought his disciples over.
