Morticia was used to being on her own, and there was no way she would listen.
Her temper only further worsened at the mention of Darryl's name. Had it not been for him tainting her and having her bear his child, it never would have happened.
Morticia grew angrier as she spoke, spitting the words coldly at Forsythe. "Shut your mouth! You have no say in my affairs. Get lost. I never want to see you again."
As she spoke, Morticia's expression was ice-cold.
Whew…
Just then, Forsythe's chest thudded. He felt as if his world had crashed around him.
"You… You want me gone, Your Highness?"
He had thought that coming clean with his true feelings would get him pardoned, only for Morticia to be so cold and ruthless.
Morticia replied coldly, "I should kill you for what you just did, really. But seeing as you've done much for me in the past year, I'll spare your life. Get out of here before I change my mind."
Truthfully, Forsythe was incredibly competent. He always performed with flying colors when told to get something done and even exceeded what was asked of him, but Morticia found what had just happened far too much for her to take.
Sensing Morticia's coldness, Forsythe stumbled backward, unable to hide the pain and hurt in his heart.
A few seconds later, Forsythe forced himself to bow to Morticia as he said in a bitter tone, "Thank you for sparing my life, Your Highness. I'm going to go… Please take care."
As he spoke, Forsythe left the cabin in the lowest of spirits.
Every step he took made his heart sink further down. He wished nothing more than for Morticia to call out to him to stay.
Morticia did not even cast a single glance his way, her expression cold as ice.
Not long after Forsythe left, Morticia called out for some Sea Dragon pupils from inside the cabin.
Then, a group of Sea Dragon pupils stepped in quickly and greeted her. "Your highness."
Morticia did not hesitate for a second before ordering, "Have all the ships turn back to Donghai City immediately."
The Archfiend was the only hope of the entire Fiend race, and there was no way they could let anything happen to him.
