"Darryl, I can't be dreaming. Haha!"
As Dax spoke, he punched Darryl's shoulder and laughed out loud.
"It's really you. F*ck! I thought something bad happened to you out there. Did you know how much Brother Chester and I were worried for you?"
Immediately, Chester also walked over emotionally and held Darryl's hand tightly.
"Darryl, you're back."
Darryl put on a smile as he felt their emotions.
After some small talk, Darryl quickly looked around and realized many were injured. He could not help but ask, "What happened?"
Chester and Dax looked at each other, and they explained to him what had happened.
After learning the situation, Darryl could not help but gasp for air.
'I never thought the situation would be that complicated.'
Then, Chester said perplexedly, "Initially, when Master Magaera came, we were supposed to retreat. Who would've thought that Antigonus would be so cunning? He sacrificed the life of his subordinate and deployed a Blood Formation.
"The Blood Formation and the Battle of the Star Formation collided. The energy from the collision hurt Master Magaera badly, and Antigonus took advantage to leave."
In the end, Chester thought of something, lowered his head, and sighed.
Darryl smiled and said, "Heh! As the supreme leader of the Fiend race, Antigonus has always been cold-hearted."
At that moment, Darryl had not realized the subordinate that Antigonus sacrificed was Morticia.
Dax patted Darryl's shoulder and pulled him aside. He looked perplexed and whispered to Darryl, "Darryl, I need to ask you something."
Darryl chuckled. "What is it? Why are you acting so mysteriously?"
Dax looked at Chester and adjusted his mood. "Darryl, what happened to you and the Fiend Martyr of the fiend race?"
'Fiend Martyr? Morticia?'
Darryl was startled to hear that question all of a sudden. He replied, "Nothing."
'She died? Is Morticia dead? How did that happen?'
For a moment, Darryl's nose became sore, and he started to tear up.
In his mind, he could not help but recall when he first met Morticia. As one of the twelve Fiend Martyrs, Morticia was powerful, giving off the impression that she was cold and arrogant.
However, deep down, Darryl knew she was different from other Fiend Martyrs. She had her principles, and she never killed the innocent.
Moreover, there were many incidents where Morticia had the chance to murder Darryl, but she did not.
Darryl imagined that if Antigonus did not exist and Morticia became the fiend's supreme leader, the situation would be much better. However, he never thought that she would suddenly die tragically.
More importantly, she was the mother of his child, and she was just given up by Antigonus…
Thinking of that, Darryl felt extremely heartbroken as he clenched his fists.
'Antigonus… I'm at war with you!'
