Whew…
Antigonus was indignant upon sensing Veron's arrogance, but he took a deep breath upon considering his surroundings and identity.
"I'm only in charge of cleaning the backyard, High Lady. I'm not supposed to be trimming the lawn."
Veron's brows furrowed at his response as she roared, "Well, I'm telling you to do it! Cut the crap and get to work! I'm telling you, don't you think highly of yourself at all just because you're a pupil from another sect, got it?"
Antigonus did not bother arguing with her and picked up the broom to leave.
Veron flared up in rage at the sight. "Hey, are you deaf? Didn't you hear what I said?"
Just as she was shouting, a charming figure could be seen slowly entering the garden.
Clad in a cream colored dress that hugged her curves, she had stunning features that would make any man swoon.
It was Circe.
Circe opened her mouth to speak at the sight before her. "Veron! What are you yelling for?"
As she spoke, she cast a glance at Antigonus.
Back at the Falling Zen Temple, Jeca had disappeared mysteriously along with a little over ten Mouse Sect pupils. It confused Circe greatly, and she guessed that it had something to do with Antigonus.
Circe had seen Veron order Antigonus around from outside the garden, but she did not come over to stop them just to see how Antigonus would react.
She had thought that Antigonus would have had a screaming match with Veron, only for him to appear so calm.
It also made Circe realize that there was no way someone that calm would be a mere nobody.
Veron's haughty demeanor disappeared at the sight of Circe as she said meekly, "Circe, I wasn't yelling. I just thought I'd have this pupil trim the grass in front of my room, only for him to be so rude to me."
As she spoke, she glared ferociously at Antigonus.
Circe nodded, saying softly, "Alright, alright. He's new here, and he doesn't know his way around. Don't give him a hard time."
