The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 5714

Darryl realized at that point that something had gone wrong. "What happened, Chester?"

Chester sighed and could not hide the worried look on his face. "It's a long story. Something happened to Dax."

Then he described how Dax had been poisoned.

Dax was fighting Scitalis by the seashore the day before. During the fight, he was poisoned. Chester and the others arrived just in time to bring Dax back to Begonia Residence and administer the antidote. The poison from Scitalis, on the other hand, was extremely potent. They tried all kinds of remedies on Dax, but he did not get better; in fact, his condition had worsened.

'What?' Darryl's expression changed. He dashed into Dax's room, following Chester. When he saw Dax's condition, his heart shook. He was taken aback.

Dax was unconscious, lying still on the bed with his eyes closed. His face was green in color. The shocking part was his body. The veins on his body burst and displayed a terrifying cyan color.

'What kind of poison is that? What makes it so powerful?' Darryl regained consciousness a few seconds later. He approached the bed and began to take Dax's vitals.

Dax was in a unique condition. His pulse was sometimes weak and sometimes strong. Even though Darryl had learned some medical skills from Divine Farmer and was well-versed in medicine, he had no idea what was happening. It was his first encounter with that condition.

'How is that possible?' Darryl became concerned when he could not find the reason.

"Darryl!" Debra walked forward and asked, "How is it? Do you know how to treat Dax?"

Her exquisite face looked worried.

Darryl exhaled deeply and shook his head. "The poison in his body is unique. I've never seen it before."

Debra took a deep breath and paused before speaking. "Scitalis' true form is that of a spiritual serpent. Rachelle and I fought him once."

Spiritual serpent?

Darryl paused for a moment after learning that information. Then he tried a few other things, but they did not help Dax's condition.
