Seeing as he was willing to admit to his mistakes, Darryl nodded.
The next second, he turned to William and the shop owner. "Everything's fine now. You can go back to whatever you were doing."
The pair had indeed only done all this with the safety of the Elysium Gate, and they were not to be blamed.
"Thank you, Brother Darryl."
A pair of smiles broke out on their faces as they bowed in gratitude to Darryl.
At the same time, everyone gazed at Darryl in awe and respect before breaking out into applause.
Darryl smiled at everyone before leaving Atlantic Street with Rachelle in tow.
Benedict followed closely behind along with his men.
"Altar Master Ruffalo!"
Darryl stopped once they were almost nearing the seaside, turning to speak to Benedict. "Go to the Begonia Residence for me and send out a message to Brother Chester that I've gone to visit the Divine Farmer."
"Alright," Benedict called out immediately, not daring to hesitate.
Benedict had taken notice of Rachelle standing next to Darryl, and his head was practically brimming with questions. He had never seen this little girl before— could he be Brother Darryl's daughter?
At the thought, Benedict did not dare to ask too many questions as he hurried off to the Begonia Residence under Darryl's urges.
"Hey!"
Just as they had left, Rachelle could not help but say to Darryl, "Aren't we going back?"
Darryl did not respond but instead looked at her with the ghost of a smile on his face. "Oh, are you speaking to me now? Why didn't you say anything to help me out just now? Even sticking out your tongue at me and everything?"
Darryl was frankly still pretty irked by what had just happened.
Rachelle did not panic in the slightest upon sensing his displeasure. Instead, she rolled her eyes, saying in an impatient tone, "That was payback for bullying me in the past."
"Also, they were accusing you, not me. Why did I have to speak up for you?"
She turned away upon saying the final word, looking unspeakably adorable.
What…
Darryl was torn between amusement and exasperation at her response.
Darryl stopped short at Rachelle's hostility, on the verge of both laughter and tears. "To take you to the Divine Farmer, of course! He lives really far from here. How are we going to get there on foot?"
Rachelle bit her lip, agreeing reluctantly at last.
Seeing as she no longer hesitated, Darryl picked her up before soaring off in the direction of the Divine Farmer's house.
Whew…
Rachelle lay in his arms as they were in mid-air, her body rigid as she was unable to calm down.
Was this just her fate?
Darryl had taken her purity back at the Cryolet Continent, for which she wanted nothing more than to kill him. Yet now here he was holding her…
Rachelle's head was a mess, and she could not help but say, "Hey, you can't tell anyone else about what happened after I've turned back."
"Who am I going to tell? What other family do you have in the Nine Continents aside from me?"
"Ew, we're not family!"
