The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 5779

Despite the fact that Bowen was pretty powerful, there was no way he was going to come out alive with that girl from the Nine Continents.

……

Over on another end.

Mid-air a little over ten kilometers from the Raksasa tribe grounds, Tyson was drenched in sweat as he continued to soar forward at top speed.

He snuck panicked looks behind him as he flew, unable to hide the fear in his expression.

The nine golden birds were hot on his heels, trailing flames behind them that painted the sky golden-red and lit the heavens ablaze. It was a terrifying sight,

Motherf*cker!

Just then, Tyson was not only fearful, but also angry.

He was, at the end of the day, the strongest warrior of the Raksasa tribe. To think that the great Head General would be chased down by nine strange birds like prey was such a humiliation.

And that Janoff was so damn cunning! He hid himself immediately the second he got out of the cave, making Tyson the birds' target.

Seeing as the golden birds were about to get to him, Tyson was close to tears.

Oh?

It was also just then that Tyson spotted a deep pool of water in the valley ahead of him. He lit up in joy, charging downwards immediately. All he had to do was jump into the water, and he would be free from the flames of the golden birds.

The next second, Tyson leapt into the water with a loud splash, wading towards the bottom of the pool.

Right after he had done so, the golden birds landed by the pool. They fluttered their wings, forming a ring of flames that surrounded the pool completely.

Hiss…

The searing heat made the surface of the pool hiss with steam, and the valley was enveloped in fog in no time as the water in the pool began to bubble.

The thing was— the pool was a good hundred meters deep. Tyson had waded more than halfway down the pool, and the heat from the surface then could barely harm him.

The fire raged on for a good half hour. Seeing as Tyson did not surface, the golden birds assumed he was dead and soared off into the distance, towards the farm.

Quickly enough, they reached the space underground.

"Awoo…"

"Argh…"

In the blink of an eye, the flames exploded in the crowd. A series of anguished cries sounded through the air as many people were torched to death and the entire street was engulfed in flames.

Yet this was not enough for the golden birds. They split up, letting out flames wherever they went.

"Help…"

"What's going on?"

"Argh… I don't want to die…"

The sudden change caught everyone off-guard, and anguished cries rang through the air as the entire Raksasa tribe grounds turned into a sea of flames. Even many of the Raksasa warriors and black armored army soldiers were victim to this, collapsing under the attack of the fire.

Just then, in the palace north of the tribe grounds.

Empress Monna stood at the palace gates, gazing in the direction of the forbidden grounds while waiting for Tyson to return with an update. It had been a while, but Tyson was still nowhere to be seen.

Just then, Monna caught sight of the nine golden birds spraying flames on the tribe grounds. She trembled at the sight, and did not think twice before roaring, "Take orders, warriors. Take down these nine monsters immediately."
