Seeing as she had been angered, the army riders did not dare to say much more as they retreated to the side.
Loona did not waste any further words as well, getting off her horse and cutting into a nearby alley.
"Hey!"
Loona looked nothing but impatient just as they entered the alley. She said to Darryl, "What's with you acting all mysterious? What do you need to say to me?"
Darryl let out a breath before saying slowly, "I'm sure you know about the Empress going missing." As he spoke, he watched Loona's expressions quietly.
"Duh," Loona said without a second thought. "The notice said it all. That bastard from the Skyway Association did it."
Ho ho…
Darryl could not help but chuckle at her response. "The Skyway Association did it? Can that notice even be trusted? It's just a cover-up."
Loona knitted her brows. "What do you mean?"
"Think about it."
Darryl spoke slowly. "The Empress lives in the palace, and it's tightly guarded by many warriors. The Skyway Association wouldn't be capable of kidnapping the Empress even if they were more capable. I'm certain something else is afoot."
As he spoke, Darryl stared right at Loona. "And I think it has something to do with your brother."
What?
Just then, Loona trembled as she flared up in rage. "Are you saying my brother's part of this?"
Darryl nodded.
"Impossible." Loona shook her head, saying in a determined tone, "My brother has always been loyal to the Empress and would never do something so treacherous. No way, you're talking nonsense."
Her brother, Tyson, was the greatest warrior of the Raksasa tribe, a great hero of the people and her greatest idol. How could he betray his own people like that?
Darryl sighed to himself. "I don't have any concrete proof, but I've got many reasons to believe that your brother's incredibly suspicious."
"To tell you the truth, I'm planning to break into the Head General quarters tonight to do some investigating of my own."
As she spoke, she strode out of the alley before reappearing with a set of army rider armor. Darryl took it from her before putting it on.
A few minutes later, Loona entered the Head General quarters with Darryl in tow.
It had to be said that the Head General quarters were gigantic. The buildings stood tall and firm, making the place seem like a maze in the night.
Whew!
They quickly reached the front hall, and Darryl could not help but take a deep breath.
All that could be seen was Tyson sitting there, meditating and restoring his powers. He was clad in luxurious, lavish robes as two servants were on either side of him, massaging his shoulders and back.
"Brother!" Loona called out, striding in quickly.
Darryl, disguised as one of Loona's men, could not go in and instead stood guard outside while checking out the situation in secret.
Tyson opened his eyes upon hearing his sister's voice, gesturing for the servants to leave.
