Why was he there?

Loona furrowed her brows when she saw Elgar. She was secretly disgusted.

Elgar squandered his life because his father was a leader. He had no desire to improve himself. He was nothing more than a spoiled brat.

She got annoyed just by seeing people like that.

Elgar did not seem to mind Loona's aloofness. He noticed the jade scroll in her hands. "Loona, do you like the jade scroll? I'll buy it for you."

'Buy it for me?' Loona was stunned. Then, she chuckled and rejected his offer. "No need!"

She knew exactly what Elgar was thinking. How could she possibly give him the chance?

Elgar felt awkward seeing Loona reject him, but he refused to give up. "Loona, we have known each other since we were children; it is nothing much buying the jade scroll for you; why do you refuse?" he said.

Loona was annoyed. She shook her head. "No need!"

When the other customers saw that scene, they could not help but talk about it.

"How generous to spend a million dollars just to please a beautiful lady."

"Yes, it's a pity the lady is unappreciative."

Loona's expression changed when she heard what they said. She wished to lash out at Elgar.

Elgar furrowed his brows as well. "What are you all talking about? Don't you know who I am? F*ck off!" he said coldly.

The customers knew they should not offend Elgar by what he was wearing. When they noticed him becoming agitated, they stopped talking and left.

"Loona!"

Darryl's voice came from the entrance at that precise moment. "Are you inside?" he asked as he walked in slowly.

Loona smiled and quickly welcomed Darryl when she saw him. "You are back," she said softly. She was a completely different person than how she had previously treated Elgar.

Darryl nodded.

Elgar furrowed his brows and looked at Darryl with hostility in his eyes.
