Melanie’s eye twitched as she went over to take the seat. Hugh nodded and continued to look at the monitor.

Before she could catch her breath, Hugh asked curiously, “Does that woman know those workers? She came in with them from the front door before as well.” 

Melanie looked up at the monitor when she heard this. The screen was showing the staircase on the third floor. 

Viola was standing with one of the workers. They looked like they were discussing something. 

It was morning, and Melanie looked at the timestamp. She normally would not be there at such an early time. 

Melanie looked down and smiled sarcastically before turning to look in Eugene’s direction. 

Viola Shaw. 

She wanted to see how long Eugene could Eugene protect her. 

At the end of the footage, Viola had finished a call in the corridor. The man carrying the wooden logs arrived not long after.

“That’s not necessary,” Melanie rejected his offer coldly. She glanced at Eugene without hiding the sarcastic look in her eye. She said, “Before we settle the issue of Viola hiring people to hurt me, I think it’s best that I refrain from seeing Mr. 

Scott.
