“What could be wrong with it?” Melanie asked, suppressing her distaste. Of course there was a problem with the report, but the question was who did it… and why,

Now that the results of the checkup were out, everyone celebrated and then went back to work.

He had stopped Melanie when she went out to buy something. Her expression was indifferent as she said, “I’ve told you many times that my life has nothing to do with you. If you pester me again, I’ll call the police.” 

“Do you think I’m joking? I’m serious this time. If you don’t get rid of that thing in your stomach, I won’t be the one convincing you next time!”
