Chapter 74
Rosetta tried again and again to talk her out of it, but only managed to irritate her further.
“Mom, the doctor said I’m supposed to keep a good mood during pregnancy! But I’m stuck at home all day–it’s like being in prison. How am I supposed to be happy?” Emma set down her fork and knife, determined to head out. “I’m just going to walk around near Micah’s office and have lunch with him. We already made plans.”
Rosetta frowned. “You’re sure Micah agreed?”
“Yes, look!” Emma pulled out her phone and showed her their chat messages. Only then did Rosetta reluctantly let her go.
That morning, Ivy was also up early, getting ready for a hospital appointment.
As she stepped outside, she caught sight of Emma climbing into her car.
“Hey, sis, where are you headed? Want a ride?” Emma rolled down the window, flashing her oversized designer sunglasses and, as usual, showing off.
Ivy smiled faintly. “You’re not worried about catching my AIDS anymore?”
Emma stared, speechless.
Ivy’s tone turned mocking. “Just a friendly reminder–if your driving’s as bad as your attitude, maybe take it easy. You’re carrying a future Windsor heir, after all. Wouldn’t want any accidents before the coronation.”
Emma smirked. “Relax. This kind of luxury car practically drives itself.”
With that, she floored the accelerator, sending a cloud of exhaust in Ivy’s direction.
Ivy waved off the fumes, a wry smile tugging at her lips as Emma’s car sped away. From her rearview mirror, Emma caught the gesture and grinned, basking in her own petty triumph. If she couldn’t get rid of Ivy, she’d just keep annoying her every chance she got. There was a certain satisfaction in that.
Both cars left the driveway, one after the other.
Ivy was in a hurry to get to the hospital, so she wanted to pick up the pace. But the Bentley in front of her–worth over half a million–was crawling along.
She tried to pass several times, but Emma kept blocking her, forcing her to fall back each time.
Realizing Emma was doing this on purpose, Ivy let out a cold laugh and waited for the right
moment.
Emma kept her eyes glued to the rearview mirror, watching Ivy’s futile attempts to overtake her, and felt another wave of smug delight. When a line of cars approached from the opposite direction, she hit the brakes, slowing down even more.

Chapter 74
Finally, Ivy couldn’t take it anymore. As soon as one of the oncoming cars passed, she swerved out, gunned the engine, and slipped into the open lane to overtake. Another car was coming straight at her, but she checked her mirror, judged the distance, and darted back into her own lane just in time.
The sudden move caught Emma off guard. She panicked, yanked the steering wheel to avoid a collision, lost control, and the Bentley careened off the road, smashing into the curb before flipping over and coming to rest with its wheels in the air.
Ivy glimpsed the wreck in her mirror and blinked in surprise–then burst out laughing. Emma’s
riving really was a disaster! In that situation, shouldn’t she have just slammed on the brakes?

phone, vy called home with feigned concern. “Mom, Emma’s flipped her car.
You better get over here–it’s about a hundred yards from the gate.”
She didn’t even wait for Rosetta’s panicked wailing on the other end before hanging up and speeding off toward the hospital.
Meanwhile, Emma hung upside down in her overturned Bentley, sheet–white and frozen in shock.
