Theo slowly opened his eyes and looked at me with a smile. "You're awake?”
My brain was still in a frozen state, so I asked in astonishment, "What are you doing here?"
The man raised his eyebrows. "Why can't I be here?”
I swallowed my saliva. "Yesterday-"
"Are you hungry?” Theo cut me off and asked with a smile.
I pursed my lips. "I should go.”
I planned to get out of bed after saying that.
I still needed to go to work and had no time to waste with him.
Theo grabbed my arm and asked with a frown, "Where are you going?”
I looked at him and fell silent for a very long time before saying mildly, "Theo, just take it as though we lost control because we were drunk last night. From now on-"
"From now on, we'll each go our separate ways?"
He cut me off again, and the gentleness in his voice was gone. It was now cold and harsh.
"Am I a beast, Wanda? Why do you want to stay away from me that much?"
I pursed my lips, not knowing what to say for a moment.
After a long time, I said, "I just want to live the life I want. It's not that you're not good, but we don’t belong together. We should live our own lives."
"Bullshit!" He was furious. "What do you mean we don’t belong together? Why don't we belong together?"
I lowered my gaze, afraid to look into his eyes." Because neither of us will be happy together, so I want to search for a life of my own and not continue to get entangled with you."
