"Wanda, something happened at Astral Garden."
Shannon informed me the moment I stepped into the office.
Having expected this, I was very calm and looked up at her. "Tell me about it."
I sat down in my seat while Shannon forwarded me the news on the page. She then took a seat in front of me. "As it turns out, there are many behind-the-scenes bosses for Astral Garden. But since there's some conflict of interest, some even want to take back this land. They're gathering at Yard Group to make a scene."
Swiping the news on the page, the corners of my mouth curled up. "Astral Garden is a good piece of meat. What a pity."
"That's what you say, but you're actually beaming inside." Shannon saw through my facade and pointed to my crafty smile. "Yard Group has spent so much money to get Astral Garden. They’ve even started development. Even if they manage to hold onto the land, it'll be a real headache. Or they might lose a lot because of this. One must know that every day work is stopped is a day lost. We don't need to do anything and they already lost."
The more Shannon spoke, the more agitated she became as excitement filled her.
I was still calm when I heard what Shannon said. "Yard Group must have expected this to happen. That’s why they looked for Earl to work on Astral Garden together to divide the pressure. Who did they take Earl for? He already saw through them.”
Lowering my head, I smiled slightly. Yard Group had trapped themselves. They thought they had everything figured out but shot themselves in the foot.
"If that’s the case, Grant Corporation would be considered guilty by association. Didn't they openly announce their partnership before?" Shannon glanced at me subconsciously as if observing my expression.
I did not bat an eyelid and returned her with a calm gaze. “What happened next?”
“I heard Delia will be going to Grant Corporation tomorrow again to propose joining the board of directors, but now that they’ve been implicated by Yard Group, they probably won’t have the time and energy to discuss her matter."
Shannon really knew a lot of gossips. I did not even need to have an undercover agent to be able to get information so easily.
Speaking of this, it was time for me to deal with Don now.
Nibel's words lingered in my mind.
