The Woman From Hell novel (Wanda and Theo) novel Chapter 2643

Looking up at him, I noted a limpid smile on his old face. I endured my discomfort. He was still the person in charge of Prime Star in this public space, so I would show him deference.

Smiling slightly, I took a step back. "I really have something to do. My husband is also present, so please don't stop me, Mr. Waters."

"You're married!" Walter sounded like he was in disbelief. His scrutinizing eyes began roaming all over me, and that disgusted me even more. “You don’t look like a married woman, Miss Lane, so don't lie to me. Those who take part in this investment conference want nothing more than to gain a partnership with Prime Star. You’re a smart person, Miss Lane. You know what to do. I’m willing to cooperate with you.”

He approached me as he spoke, and I quickly stepped back.

People were coming and going around us, but he seemed hardly worried. It seemed that Walter was a habitual offender. These people probably knew what kind of person he was, which would explain why none of them were coming forward.

I let out a sigh. It was the sigh from an unfortunate woman who bumped into him and was mistaken for wanting to form a partnership.

"Mr. Waters, you misunderstand. I don't want to work with your company. Excuse me."

After saying that, I glanced to the side, trying to find Theo.

However, Theo, who had just been around, had suddenly disappeared. Someone must have dragged him somewhere.

"Why are you in such a hurry to leave, Miss Lane? I can't do anything to you in this public space. I'm just negotiating a deal with you. Stop hesitating until you’re forced to do it." Walter was looking at me, his eyes seemingly lingering on my chest. The greed that flashed through his eyes was clearly visible.

Darn it!

I vaguely heard someone not far away saying, "Walter is famous for his love affairs. It looks like that beauty is going to suffer tonight. What a pity."

Just as I thought…

I met Walter's expectant eyes. Despite not seeing Theo around, I knew he was here. As long as he was here, I was fearless. My smile faded, displeasure the only thing left on my face. "Please show yourself some deference, Mr. Waters. I'm already someone’s wife. I can't accompany you."
