In a blink of an eye, it was the day of Nina and Jason's wedding.
They chose a hotel with very elegant decor, and the hall was decorated very dreamily. It was the wedding Nina had wanted ever since she was a child.
I grabbed Theo's hand as we arrived at the scene. Our name cards had been specially arranged on the tables. I saw our names and pulled Theo over to our seats. Shannon and Marius had already arrived and were in their seats and waving to us.
"Jordan isn't back yet?" Theo asked as soon as he sat down.
The corner of Shannon's smiling mouth twitched, and she replied in a less than pleasant tone, "No, he isn't. He's still busy and can't come back. Besides, he doesn't know Nina, and it just so happens that Marius and I can be each other's partners."
Hearing this, Marius hurriedly said, "I was forced. I had a companion at first." He met Theo's gaze, mouth forming a smile. "Long time no see, President Grant."
"Yes, it's been a long time. I heard from Wanda that you've been helping out at Green Orange. You've been of great help."
The two of them were indeed becoming more courteous with one another with every meeting that the atmosphere between them had turned weird.
There was still a slight familiarity in their distance.
I frowned, and Theo caught it. "No frowning at a wedding banquet."
Hearing this, I hurriedly eased my expression. "Alright."
Theo leaned into my ear and whispered, "What were you thinking just now?"
I opened my mouth but then thought it was not a good question for the time being and changed the topic. "It's nothing. Looks like it's about to start."
The master of ceremonies was announcing the program on stage. Jason looked very handsome today as he stood up there waiting for his bride.
The door of the hall slowly opened and Nina came into view in her wedding dress. It made a beautiful picture.
Her father was leading her into the hall slowly.
It was such a beautiful scene.
I watched as Nina went up to Jason slowly with her arms wrapped around her father’s own and turned to Theo. “Isn’t she beautiful?”
“She’s not comparable to you, though.”
“You’re quick.”
“I was being honest.”
