In just two days, I handed over all my work from Green Orange.
Fortunately, Shannon came back in a good state. I was a lot more relieved that Shannon would be helping Marius out with Green Orange.
That morning, I took care of my last task at Green Orange before driving to Grant Corporation.
I heard someone whispering the moment I stepped into the company.
"Keith really left the company. I passed by President Grant's office the other day and it was really empty.”
"Did he really go over to Pristine as the news said?"
"Most likely. President Grant treated Keith so well. I didn't expect him to actually jump ship. I heard he’s the one who leaked the distributor's benefits.”
People liked to gossip. If one made guesses, there would be another who would believe it.
Despite the few of them looking surprised as they surrounded each other to hear the news, they were also somewhat convinced.
I stepped forward and reprimanded them, "You guys ought to be working during work hours.”
"Ah, yes, President Lane.”
Even if Keith had left Theo to go to Pristine, I did not believe he would do anything to hurt Theo.
"I’ll be taking over Keith's job temporarily from today onward. He just changed jobs like any other person would. Don’t make wild guesses.”
"Yes." They bowed their heads one after another.
I got on the elevator and went up to the office. Theo was already working in his place.
I knocked on the door.
Theo raised his head when he heard the knock. Seeing that it was me, a smile made its way across his tired face. “You’re here.”
It must have been really difficult for him to deal with everything alone for the past two days.
I nodded. "Yes, I came to start work, so please give me your orders, President Grant.”
Theo’s smile deepened. He then handed me a few documents. "These are Keith's projects from before. I’ll be troubling you with them from now on, Miss Lane.”
