Even if Sylvester did not answer, his expression at the moment had already given me the answer. Still, I wanted to hear his response.
Sylvester's brows furrowed slightly. He seemed worried that I would find out and immediately recomposed his expression before replying nonchalantly, "Even if I did have some plan, what does it have to do with you? Are you implying I can't handle it? Let me tell you something, Wanda. I can return the Yards to their former glory on my own."
I had not known Sylvester's true face to be this arrogant back then when Silas was still here.
I did not react much when I heard what he said but it felt like Sylvester had been holding himself back for a long time.
"Even if you've got incredible power, I'm afraid it's not as easy to revitalize the Yards as you would think. In fact, there's no need for you to conceal anything in front of me. I've managed a company, after all. I've seen everything that goes on behind the scenes." I smiled at him.
Sylvester obviously looked down on me. I had that feeling ever since the first day he saw me.
He hated me.
Even though Sylvester once pretended to be devastated about me not returning to the Yards, I could tell that he was actually worried that I would return and that was against his wishes.
If I returned to the Yards, I would have to manage the company with him, which he could not accept. It was only natural that he would hate me.
"So, what exactly are you here for today?" Sylvester did not intend to continue this idle chit-chat with me and cut to the chase.
"I've come to help you fulfill his wish," I replied quickly. Sylvester's expression flickered but then he slowly recovered himself. "What do you mean?"
"How should you thank me if I say I can share Grant Corporation's resources with you?" I lifted a brow.
