Moments ago, she had been consumed by the thrill of humiliating Camila. But now, with Giovani’s sudden appearance, it felt as though a bucket of ice water had been poured over her, snapping her back to reality. Her arrogance vanished without

a trace.

Her mind raced, frantically searching for an excuse, but it was as if an invisible hand had gripped her throat, choking off any words she might have said.

When her gaze met Giovani’s icy, sharp eyes, a chill surged from the soles of her feet to the top of her head. It felt as though his gaze alone could tear her apart.

GiovaniRobin stammered, forcing a shaky smile that barely masked her terror. Her voice was dry and trembling, as if squeezed through clenched teeth. Of course, today is all about Lindsey. II was just trying to liven up the atmosphere

The women who had joined Robin in tormenting Camila finally realized the gravity of the situation. They plastered on nervous smiles, their voices trembling as they tried to explain themselves.

Mr. Campbell, wewe were just joking around!

Yes, just a joke!

Giovani didn’t even spare them a glance. His gaze swept past them, landing Camila, who sprawled on the floor, looking pitiful.

Camila’s clothes were nearly torn to shreds, her exposed skin covered in bruises and welts. Her face was so swollen it was almost unrecognizable.

Her hair was a tangled mess, matted with blood and tears, making her look heartbreakingly wretched.

And yet, even in such a state, Giovani recognized her at a glance.

Giovani’s eyes widened immediately, his breath catching in his throat. The shock on his face was fleeting, quickly replaced by a fury so intense it seemed capable of scorching the air around him.

Without hesitation, he tore off his customtailored suit jacketa piece that screamed luxuryand draped it over Camila’s battered body. His movements were hurried yet impossibly gentle, as if afraid of causing her further pain.

Then, without a second thought, he scooped her up into his arms, cradling her as if she were the most precious thing in the world. His arms instinctively tightened around her, shielding her completely from view.

Mr. Campbellsomeone gasped, stumbling back a step.

The sight of Giovaniknown for his obsessive cleanliness and aversion to physical contactusing his own jacket to cover a bloodied woman left everyone utterly speechless.

Under the cold glow of the chandelier, Giovani’s jawline was taut with fury, his every movement radiating icy resolve. As he bent his long legs, clad in tailored suit pants, to lift Camila, the expensive fabric darkened where her blood seeped through.

The banquet hall was filled with gasps as Camila suddenly twitched in Giovani’s arms.

Her bloodmatted lashes struggled to lift, revealing unfocused eyes that caught his grim expression. She forced a broken smile and whispered, Mr. Campbellyou came for me, didn’t you?

Her words stabbed into his chest like a dagger, twisting with every syllable. Giovani’s arm muscles tensed instantly, his Adam’s apple bobbing twice before he pulled her closer to him.

Chapter 100

I’m here,” he replied softly, his voice low and careful, as if afraid to shatter her fragile state.

Through the sweatsoaked shirt, he could feel the sharp outline of her shoulder blades, underscoring just how fragile and pitiful she had become.

Giovani’s icy gaze, sharp as a blade, swept across the room before locking onto Robin like a nail.

Robin felt a deafening hum fill her mind, drowning out all coherent thought. Her vision darkened, and her legs neatly ove out beneath her.

YousheRobin stammered, her lips trembling, unable to form a coherent sentence.

Lock down the room.Giovani’s voice was cold as ice. No one leaves until I return.

Everyone involved should think hard about whether their limbs are worth the price of what they’ve done?

As Turner reached for his walkietalkie, Robin suddenly screamed and lunged forward. She had realized the gravity of the situation and knew all too well what Giovani was capable of.

She explained, Giovani, listen to me! It was that wretch who seduced your father. That’s why L

Seduced?Giovani chuckled coldly, the sound sharp and mocking. It seems that I need to teach you another lesson!

He stepped toward Robin, forcing her to retreat until she collided with the banquet table.

I’ll teach you how to distinguish truth from lies,he continued. Just like I taught you years ago about the difference between a miscarriage and a hysterectomy.

Robin’s carefully styled curls clung to her sweatdrenched forehead, and a strangled sound escaped her throat, raw and animalistic. Her manicured nails clawed at the tablecloth, leaving five jagged tears.

Meanwhile, Giovani carried Camila toward the side door, the black marble floor marked by scattered drops of blood. Each step felt like it was treading on the taut nerves of everyone present.

His lowered gaze cast shadows under his thick lashes as he suddenly turned to Lindsey, whose face was ashen. Grandma may I borrow your brocade cloak?

Lindsey’s heart ached as she looked at the granddaughterinlaw she had chosen, now so cruelly mistreated.

Without hesitation, she removed the cloak from her shoulders and handed it to Giovani. With me here, no one who bullied Camila will escape unscathed.

Fine,Giovani replied, taking the dark red cloak embroidered with blessings of prosperity. He wrapped Camila tightly from head to toe, the crimson fabric making the bruise on her exposed ankle stand out even more.

In the suffocating silence, Giovani carried her straight out of the banquet hall. The heavy doors creaked shut, the last sliver of light slicing across Robin’s twisted face like a blade, sealing her fate.

Her ears buzzed endlessly, her face even paler than before. The realization hit hershe had misunderstood something, and this mistake might cost her more than she could ever bear.

She turned to Joshua with a desperate, pleading look, her voice trembling and sharp. Joshua, that woman is clearly your

mistress.

Joshua was also livid, his brows furrowing deeply. What nonsense are you spouting?

Robin screamed hysterically, How is that nonsense? I saw the photos Lindsey sent youit’s her! And you even said as long as Lindsey was satisfied, you didn’t care!

You all just think I’m useless because I can’t have children, and that’s why you’re with a younger woman now it’s not my fault that I can’t-

Enough!Lindsey slammed her hand on the table with a sharp crack, cutting, Rohin off midsentence

She had never been fond of Robin, and now her hands were trembling with anger. I sent those photos to jota so he could see his future daughterinlaw!
