Chapter 104
Robin’s legs gave way, and she crumpled at Giovani’s feet. The impact of her knees hitting the cold floor echoed like a heavy hammer striking everyone’s hearts.
“Mr. Campbell, please spare me. I swear I know I was wrong!” she cried, her voice trembling and broken, each word forced out with desperation and fear.
Tears poured down her cheeks, completely ruining the makeup she’d spent hours perfecting.
Gone was the arrogant, domineering Robin. Now, she was like a cornered animal, trembling in terror as the hunter closed in.
She slammed her head against the cold floor, each hit echoing with a dull thud. Quickly, her skin reddened and swelled. Thin lines of blood emerged, forming dark red droplets that trickled down her cheeks.
The crowd stood frozen, stunned by the pitiful sight before them. Some turned their heads away, unable to bear the scene, while others stared in shock, their mouths slightly agape.
After witnessing Giovani’s ruthless punishment of Agnes and the four socialites earlier, everyone had felt the chill of his cold–blooded nature. Now, as the mastermind behind Camila’s suffering, Robin’s fate was clear–what awaited her would be even more merciless.
Giovani stood ramrod straight, his gaze as sharp as ice as he looked down at Robin. His expression was completely blank, devoid of any hint of mercy.
“Take her to the private room.” He tilted his sharp jaw slightly and spoke to Turner, who stood waiting nearby. His voice was low and commanding, carrying undeniable authority.
Turner nodded immediately, signaling to a group of burly bodyguards. The bodyguards‘ iron–like grips clamped onto Robin’s arms, dragging her away from Giovani’s feet with brute force.
“No! Let me go!” Robin screamed, thrashing wildly. Her nails scraped against the floor, producing a grating sound that made everyone wince. Her desperate cries shattered the tense atmosphere of the hall.
Having been part of the Campbell family for over twenty years, Robin knew Giovani’s methods all too well. Anything he did in public was calculated and untouchable, but his private actions were far more brutal–and he always left no trace.
Just now, he wanted to chop off the fingers of those four wealthy women but made their husbands do it instead. Even if the police showed up, they’d just call it a domestic dispute.
Giovani Campbell–a man as cold as ice, ruthless to the core, and a master at bending the law to his will. He was the kind of devil that made people shudder.
“Please, spare me!” Robin begged, her voice cracking with despair, sending chills down everyone’s spine.
Joshua’s face turned pale as he stepped forward hastily. “Giovani, she’s your stepmother. You can’t do this to her.”
Giovani turned his head slowly, his gaze sharp enough to cut. “If you’re so eager to protect her, why not take her place?”
His voice was like a winter storm, so cold it cut right to the bone. Even in the warm hall, people felt a sudden chill that seemed to freeze the air around them.
Joshua’s face turned beet red, the flush spreading from his neck to his forehead. Being humiliated by his son in front of so many people made him feel utterly disgraced, and fury burned within him.
“Giovani, no matter what you say today, I won’t let you touch her.” He stepped forward abruptly, spreading his arms wide like an unyielding wall, firmly shielding Robin.

Chapter 104
A glimmer of hope flickered in Robin’s eyes. She lunged toward Joshua, clutching his arm tightly as if it were her last lifeline. “Joshua, help!” she cried out, her voice trembling with helplessness and despair.
Giovani’s expression grew even colder. Without hesitation, he issued another command, his tone dripping with mockery. “Such devotion truly moves me. Take him along as well.”
The bodyguards immediately stepped forward and grabbed Joshua’s arms, one on each side.
Joshua struggled fiercely, twisting his body in an attempt to break free from their grip. Meanwhile, he shouted, “Giovani, I’m your father. You can’t treat me like this!”
Then, he turned his gaze to Lindsey and pleaded, “Mom, are you really going to stand by and watch this ungrateful brat defy all decency?”
Lindsey, who had been watching coldly, finally showed a trace of hesitation. Giovani was her grandson, but Joshua was her son. “Giovani-” she began.
Giovani interrupted her decisively, his tone respectful yet unyielding. “Grandma, I know what I’m doing
Lindsey sighed deeply, her eyes closing as she chose to remain silent. She understood all too well that Giovani had endured too much pain since childhood and harbored no affection for his father.
When Giovani was just five years old, his mother was driven to her death by Robin the mistress. From that moment on, the once cheerful and radiant little boy had changed completely, shrouded in an unrelenting darkness.
Lindsey could still recall the day Robin married into the Campbell family. Little Giovani, as if possessed, stormed into the bridal suite with a knife and nearly stabbed Robin and Joshua to death.
The words he uttered back then had sent chills down everyone’s spine-“Even if I kill you both, the law can’t touch me.”
A five–year–old child should have been carefree and innocent, growing up under the loving protection of his parents. But Giovani’s heart was consumed by hatred, leaving no room for the innocence of childhood.
From that day forward, he had made multiple attempts to kill Robin and Joshua. Yet, his young age and lack of strength meant that none of his efforts ever succeeded.
In most families, it was the stepmother who mistreated the stepson. But in the Campbell family, it was the complete opposite. Robin was utterly terrified of Giovani. Every time their paths crossed, she shrank back like a mouse cornered by a
cat.
Robin had just started savoring the perks of marrying into wealth, and the thought of losing it all terrified her. If she were to die, it would be in vain–because Giovani, as a minor, would face no punishment. What was worse, he dared to do it.
As Giovani grew older, he mastered the art of masking his emotions, burying his hatred deep inside. It had been years since he’d openly acted against Joshua and Robin like this.
The sudden turn of events left everyone in the hall completely stunned, unsure of how to react.
Agnes clung to William, trembling like a frightened bird.
Joshua and Robin struggled desperately, but it was utterly futile against the sheer strength of the bodyguards.
The moment the door to the private room slammed shut, Robin’s screams erupted, sharp and relentless. Each scream pierced the ears of those outside, sending shivers down their spines.
Moments later, Joshua’s terrified roars followed, adding to the chaos and making the atmosphere even more chilling.
Outside, everyone stood rooted to the spot, not daring to make a sound.
