Chapter 120 Turner Likes Men
The afternoon sun poured through the cafe’s big windows, making golden patches on the shiny floor
Turner saw Lucy sitting there with her head down, her hair like a curtain hiding her face. She hadn’t said much lately, and he figured she was still shaken up from last night.
His voice got softer as he said, “I’m not giving you this money to be mean. I really want to fix this.”
Lucy slowly looked up, eyes glistening with tears she tried to hold back. She looked fragile, as if carrying the world an shoulders. “L… I wasn’t really hurt, sir. You don’t have to do this,” she said, her voice a little shaky
her
“Please, just take it. I’ll feel bad if you don’t,” Turner sald sincerely, his eyes full of honesty
Lucy thought ‘I wish I could just snatch that card, but she kept up the act. She frowned a little, looking unsure, like she was struggling with a tough choice.
Turner didn’t give up. His voice was gentle but firm, “Please, it’s the least I can do,” he kept saying, trying to convince her. Just as Lucy finally reached out her hand, looking all wronged, a sharp voice cut through the air, breaking the tense mood. “Hey, look who’s here! It’s Lucy, the scholarship queen of Sancho University of Science and Technology,” a snotty girl’s voice said, dripping with sarcasm.
“Wow, Lucy’s got another rich guy, huh?” a mocking guy’s voice chimed in.
Tumer and Lucy turned to see a couple standing nearby. The girl had on so much makeup it looked like a mask, and her eyes were full of meanness. The guy was standing there all lazy, his head tilted, with a smirk on his face.
Lucy checked them out and realized she’d never seen them before. Ever since Harry tried to get her kicked out of school, it seemed like everyone at school thought it was their job to pick on her
No matter who it was, they all thought they could say whatever they wanted to her.
Usually, as long as it didn’t really bother her, she just ignored their crap, letting it go in one ear and out the other.
But when they crossed the line–like when her roommates used her stuff to clean the toilet just to gross her out–she made sure they paid for it.
Lucy’s eyes got cold as she thought, ‘Mess with me? You’re in for it.”
After the couple’s taunts, they turned their attention to Turner. They’d expected Lucy’s sugar daddy to be some fat, old guy. but Turner shocked them.
He looked like he was in his mid–twenties, dressed in a sharp suit that showed off his good looks. His gold–rimmed glasses made him look even more sophisticated, and his handsome face was way more attractive than the popular guys at the university.
When they saw the Rolex on Turner’s wrist, their eyes got big, and jealousy was written all over their faces. They thought,” How could a girl like Lucy, who is shameless, end up with someone so rich and good–looking?”
“Hey, don’t let her fool you. She used to hook up with an old guy and almost got kicked out of school, the girl sneered. “Yeah, and if her mom hadn’t begged the principal, she wouldn’t even be here now. That was less than three months ago,
added. and now she’s trying to scam you. Don’t give her a dime!” the guy
The couple were in sync, like they’d seen Lucy become some old guy’s mistress themselves.
Turner looked at Lucy, shocked and disbelieving.
Lucy gritted her teeth in frustration. She was so close to getting the money. But if she took it now, Turner might start digging into her past.
If he found out Harry had used her to threaten Camila, and as Harry’s friend, there was no way he’d let her off easy. Worse, Camila might get dragged into this mess again,
Camila had already been through enough, Lucy couldn’t let her get mixed up with another rich jerk because of her. Forget it -the money was out of reach. She was so mad she wanted to strangle those two idiots right then and there.
She bit her tongue hard, the pain making her eyes water. Her lips trembled, and she looked humiliated and too scared t fight back

A girl like that doesn’t deserve your pity.” Turner’s eyes got cold behind his glasses, and his voice was sharp. “Since when is it your business?” The couple got scared by his look and didn’t say another word.
Chapter 120 Tumer Likes Men
Turner hurried out of the cafe. When he saw Lucy, she was already across the street, heading to the campus. He felt worried and called out, “Lucy!“–the name he’d heard from the couple.
Lucy froze, her back to Turner. The pitiful act was gone, replaced by anger in her eyes. She looked like she wanted to tear anyone apart who messed with her.
But when she turned around, she quickly changed her expression. The anger disappeared, and she thought, ‘Maybe I can still make this work. If I keep acting, I might still get the money.
But when she turned, she saw something that made her eyes widen
A guy in really flashy clothes was clinging to Turner like a koala, hugging him tight. His head was buried in Turner’s chest, and he was crying loudly.
Turner was startled and almost threw the guy off.
“You’re all jerks! Why didn’t anyone come looking for me? Do you know how scary it was being locked in a bathroom for two days? Jerks, you’re all horrible,” the guy wailed, hitting Turner’s chest like a wronged wife.
Turner looked down and recognized the guy–it was Andy. If Andy hadn’t shown up. Turner might have forgotten about him. Andy looked like a mess. His hair was a tangled mess, his face had scratches, and his clothes were torn.
