Chapter 221 Camila Extra 15
Irene had thought about transferring Joseph to another school, but since there were no elementary schools near Laystoland University of Defense Technology, her plan fell through. No matter how much Joseph objected, it was pointless. The moment they showed up at Laystoland University of Defense Technology, they immediately became the center of
attention.
“Look! That man in the suit is so handsome. Is he someone’s dad?”
“No way. He looks like he’s only in his thirties. How could he be someone’s dad? He must be one of the new professors.”
“Oh my gosh, he’s literally the hottest guy on campus. What does he teach? I need to sign up for his course
Camila glanced at the senior girls swooning over Harrison, and then turned to look at him, who was staring straight ahead with an aloof expression. Then she shifted her gaze to trene, who was rolling her eyes at Harrison.
Camila was amused.
She thought, ‘Honestly, if Dad swapped his suit for casual clothes, they might believe he was a college student. With his sharp features and strikingly handsome face, he could easily charm countless girls.”
Camila held Harrison’s hand and said softly, “Dad.”
That one word left the swooning girls completely stunned.
They stared at Camila in disbelief, only to see her grab Irene’s hand with her other hand and say, “Mom.”
Those girls sighed and thought, ‘Why would someone so handsome make the impulsive decision to get married and have children at such a young age?‘
Irene, dressed in a red gown and silver high heels, exuded elegance and confidence. She was the kind of woman that could captivate anyone with just one blink.
Walking side by side, Harrison and Irene looked like the perfect couple, which explained the commotion they caused.
Soon, the four of them arrived at the registration desk.
“What’s your name?” the staff member asked Irene, clearly mistaking her for a freshman.
It wasn’t surprising. Irene was more beautiful than celebrities. She was impeccably maintained, and although she was in her thirties, she looked like a college girl.
With a smile, Irene replied, “I’m not a freshman. My daughter is.”
“Your daughter?” The staff member looked utterly shocked. “You’re way too young to have an eighteen–year–old daughter.”
Irene’s smile grew even brighter, and she was clearly enjoying the compliment on her youthful appearance.
“I don’t have an eighteen–year–old daughter, but I do have a five–year–old,” Irene said, picking up Camila. “This is my daughter. I’m here to keep her company.”
All eyes immediately turned to Camila, and the room fell into a stunned silence.
If it weren’t for Harrison and Irene’s strikingly good looks, they wouldn’t have ignored Camila. After taking a closer look, they realized she was the talented girl who had gone viral over the summer, making headlines on official websites.
Everyone at Laystoland University of Defense Technology knew about her. After all, the five–year–old prodigy had chosen this school, becoming the youngest student in the university’s history.
“Wait, so she’s the one who scored exceptionally high on the SAT. That’s incredible.”
“She’s even cuter in person than in the photos!”
“How does such a tiny head hold so much brilliance? It’s insane.”
“I finally understand what it means that there’s always someone better out there. Getting into Laystoland University of Defense Technology is already impressive, and she’s the youngest among them all.”
The room buzzed with murmurs of amazement, and the staff member could barely contain his excitement.
He thought, ‘If this girl stays on the right path, with her intelligence, she’s bound to become a national treasure. Who knows? She might even be recruited by the government after she graduated.
‘It looks like our school is about to have a big star.‘
Camila’s appearance caused quite a stir, and it took some effort for the family to finally complete the registration and leave the campus.
They enjoyed a meal near the school before Harrison and Joseph had to leave.
Joseph hugged Camila tightly and said reluctantly, “I’ll miss you.”

Camila hugged him back and said softly. “I’ll miss you too.
Looking into her eyes, Joseph promised, “Don’t worry, Camila. It visit you every holiday”
They lingered in their goodbyes for a long time before Harrison finally took Joseph and left.
From that day on, Irene started picking up and dropping off Camila every day, even though the school was less than a ten- minute walk from home. She was determined to make sure she was there for every school run, no matter what.
This was the kind of life Camila had only dreamed of in her previous life.
Back when she lived with the Jackson family, she had to wake up at four in the mining and ride her bike for two hours just to get to school.
She couldn’t even go home for lunch at noon. She had to wait until evening to eat, and by then, it was always just leftovers.
Now, she not only had parents who loved her, but her mom personally took her to school, picked her up, and cooked her delicious meals.
These simple yet happy moments were something she had longed for in her previous life. Now that she had them, she cherished them deeply.
Harrison and Joseph would come to visit Camila and Irene every Friday evening, staying until Sunday night before heading back.
Four years passed in the blink of an eye. During this time, Camila only returned to Northeville during winter and summer holidays to spend time with Giovani, Elliot, Zachary, and Sienna.
Even though their time together was limited, they never made her feel left out.
No matter how brilliant Camila’s grades were or how exceptional her mind was, she was always their sweet little girl.
However, Camila’s peaceful and idyllic days came to an abrupt end on her graduation day.
Over the past four years, Camila had been nothing short of extraordinary–sweeping every scholarship and clinching first place in every competition she entered.
Even before Camila graduated, the Norvane government made an offer with generous terms, trying to poach her.
The Norvane government thought Camila’s brilliance was undeniable, and she was a teenager with an unshaped worldview. They believed they could mold her through their education, ensuring her allegiance to their cause.
They thought a prodigy like her could produce immense value over the decades to come. With her intellect, she might even develop groundbreaking weapons that would solidify Norvane’s global dominance for generations.
Driven by this vision, the Norvane government was willing to go to any lengths to secure Camila.
However, they overestimated themselves.
The Stuard family, one of Northeville’s four prominent families, was extremely wealthy. Money was the key to solving a lot
of problems, and whatever Camila wanted, the Stuard family could usually solve it with money.
Therefore, no matter what generous terms the Norvane government offered, Camila remained uninterested.
She was raised by Laystoland, and she thought everything she had learned should be used to help develop her country.
In her previous life, her dream of attending university had been crushed by the Jackson family. This time, she cherished the opportunity and poured her heart and soul into her studies, working harder than anyone else.
Because of her intelligence and relentless effort, Camila’s achievements were leagues ahead of her peers.
She also had a bold theory rooted in her chance to start over. She believed she got this opportunity because her previous
life had been so miserable, creating an obsession in her mind and making her mental energy extremely strong.
She thought if she could invent a device capable of harnessing mental energy, it could revolutionize fields like military technology, medicine, education, and gaming.
In the military, it could lead to advancements like futuristic mechas; in gaming, it could enable fully immersive virtual worlds. And once a technology called “Smart Brain” emerged, it could revolutionize everyday life.
With such innovations, Laystoland’s technological development would be a century ahead of the rest of the world.
Camila had shared this idea with her mentor, who was so moved that tears streamed down his face. He promised her that if she could make it happen, he would support her with everything he had.
Camila included parts of this idea in her thesis, which unexpectedly caught the attention of the Norvane government. Without hesitation, Camila rejected their offer. The Norvane government didn’t give up and turned their focus to Harrison and Irene. However, no matter what they offered, the Stuard family remained unimpressed and unwavering.
The Laystoland government was immediately informed and took the matter very seriously. The next day, someone came to see Camila and briefly explained the situation to Harrison and Irene before leaving a phone number.

He said, “Your daughter will go with us. If you miss her, you can dial this number, but try to only call if it’s something urgent.” Harrison and Irene were stunned. They had hoped that after graduation, Camila could return to Northeville and the family could finally reunite. However, she was taken away right after graduation.
Even though it broke Harrison and Irene’s hearts, they knew it was about Camila’s future and the future of Laystoland. No matter how much they wanted to keep her close, they couldn’t stand in the way of her progress.
With heavy hearts, they returned to Northeville. As soon as they got home, Giovani and his friends showed up.
Elliot, ever impatient, burst in and said, “Hey, Camila, come here and say hello to your dear friends!”
Zachary joined in with a grin. “I’m here to see you, Camila. Let’s hang out.”
Sienna rolled her eyes. “Camila is a college graduate now. She wouldn’t waste her time playing with you two idiots. She only hangs out with mature people like me.”
Giovani, the calmest among them, immediately noticed Joseph sitting on the couch, looking dejected. He walked over and asked, “Joseph, where’s Camila?”
Joseph sighed and said, “Camila is not here.”
Giovani frowned. “Where is she?”
“Yeah, isn’t Camila supposed to be back after graduation? Did you guys not bring her home, or did she go out somewhere?” asked Sienna.
Joseph raised his head and looked at them. “Neither.”
Elliot said, “Then what happened? Stop keeping us in suspense. Just tell us the truth.”
“Camila was taken away,” Joseph said.
His words left everyone present stunned. Giovani clenched his fists as he demanded, “What do you mean? Who took Camila? Are you saying she was kidnapped?”
Joseph quickly shook his head. “No, it wasn’t kidnapping. Camila is just too exceptional and caught the attention of the government, and as soon as she graduated, they took her away. I think she’s probably working on some research now.”
Joseph sighed again, unable to hold back. “Camila has been so focused on her studies all these years. She rarely takes time to relax.”
Hearing that, Elliot, Zachary, and Sienna exchanged stunned looks. “No way!”
The three of them stared at each other before exclaiming in unison, “Camila is amazing!”
They had always known Camila was a genius and were sure she would achieve great things someday. However, they never imagined that at just nine years old, she would be recruited by the government to work on scientific research.
