Chapter 98
Robin, flanked by a group of wealthy socialites, stormed toward Camila, her fury written all over her face. The sharp, rhythmic clatter of high heels echoed across the floor, urgent and piercing, like the beat of an angry drum.
Without hesitation, Robin raised her hand, ready to slap Camila,
Camila frowned because she didn’t know Robin at all. Taking a step back to avoid the slap, she said, “Ma’am, I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else,”
Seeing Camila dodge her strike, Robin’s anger flared even hotter, twisting her elegant features into a mask of rage.
“You shameless bitch! Who knows how filthy you are behind closed doors? And now you’re pretending to be innocent? the spat venomously.
The women behind her glared at Camila with disdain, their expressions dripping with contempt, as if she had seduced their husbands. Their sharp words cut through the air like daggers.
“Ugh, look at this slut. Who knows how many men she’s dragged into bed already? She’s basically dripping with desperation,” one woman sneered, her gold evening gown catching the light as her shrill voice cut through the air, eyes full of spite.
Camila took a deep breath, steadying herself despite the chaos. “I swear, I’ve never done anything like that. You’ve really got the wrong person,” she said, her tone firm but patient.
“Stop pretending. I’ve seen plenty of bitches like you–probably crawling out of some shady joint, luring men with just a flick of your finger,” sneered a wealthy woman with voluminous curls, her arms crossed as the fat on her face quivered with every word.
Another plump woman, unwilling to be outdone, shoved her way forward. She jabbed a stubby finger dangerously close to Camila’s face and spat venomously, “Dressed up like some cheap showpiece, huh? That outfit of yours–bet it’s paid for with dirty money.
“You think being young and pretty makes you special? Please, you’re nothing but a worn–out plaything for men.”
As the insults escalated, the women’s hostility boiled over–they started shoving Camila, their hands rough and unrelenting.
Camila, frail and slender, could barely withstand the onslaught. She stumbled, nearly falling to the ground, but Andy’s quick reflexes saved her. He reached out and steadied her just in time.
Andy glared at the group of women furiously. “Stop right there! If you don’t want your families to go bankrupt, you’d better back off now!”
Supposedly, these women were brought here by their husbands for Lindsey’s birthday party. In reality? It was all about getting on Robin’s good side.
They believed that by ingratiating themselves with Robin, their husbands might secure a piece of the Eastville project.
Even if they couldn’t get involved in the project, earning the Campbell family‘ favor would still greatly benefit their families‘ businesses. With this in mind, they were more than willing to act as Robin’s minions.
Seeing Andy’s feminine demeanor, they dismissed him entirely, treating his warning as nothing more than a joke.
“Who do you think you are, trying to warn us?”
“A shameless bed–hopper and a pathetic pansy–birds of a feather, huh? You two are nothing but trash!”
The insults grew nastier and more vicious, but William stood off to the side, watching with cold indifference.

Chapter 98
Camila had only recently been released from prison. Since then, she’d either been staying at the jackson residence or recovering in the hospital, leaving her no chance to seduce anyone.
William didn’t believe Camila was the type to do such a thing. He knew her character well enough
Even so, he had no intention of defending her. He thought that Camila was too headstrong for her own good and that a little suffering would teach her to soften that unyielding streak of hers.
Meanwhile, Agnes put on an act of concern, stepping forward and taking Robin’s hand.
“Robin, please don’t be angry. Camila is my sister–there must be some misunderstanding here,” she said softly.
Robin froze for a moment, and then her fury reignited. The woman who seduced her husband turned out to be her friend’s sister–this revelation only added fuel to the fire, deepening her hatred for Camila.
Ever since she had befriended Agnes, Agnes had frequently hinted at being bullied by Camila
Robin already had a poor impression of Camila because of these stories. Now, discovering that the photo sent by Lindsey to her husband was of Camila, her loathing reached its peak.
She also recognized Andy.
Andy might be feminine, but he was a legend in Northeville’s fashion scene, the genius behind countless celebrity looks that had taken the industry by storm.
Getting him to work for someone wasn’t easy, but for the Campbell family, it was hardly a challenge.
What Robin couldn’t fathom was how Camila had not only been invited to Lindsey’s birthday banquet but also had Andy, the country’s premier stylist, doing her hair and makeup.
Lindsey had always looked down on Robin. Despite being married to Joshua Campbell for over twenty years and enduring countless slights and humiliations, Robin had never managed to win Lindsey’s favor.
Now, Robin was sure that Lindsey was trying to pair Joshua with a girl in her twenties because she couldn’t have children. She suspected Lindsey wanted Camila to bear children for the Campbell family.
The thought of children made her rage uncontrollable. Robin could have had children once, but Giovani, who was just five back then, had pushed her down the stairs when she was pregnant.
Not only did she lose the baby, but the doctors also removed her uterus because of Giovani. In Robin’s eyes, Giovani was nothing short of a monster.
The memories hit her like a tidal wave, dragging her into the depths of despair. Her hands trembled as rage since she couldn’t have kids, she wouldn’t let any other woman give the Campbell family an heir.

Robin lunged forward, grabbing Camila’s hair and yanking it down with all her strength. “You shameless tramp! You think you can just wave your hand and have men falling at your feet? Today, I’ll teach you a lesson you’ll never forget!” she screamed hysterically.
Camila cried out in pain, her hands desperately trying to pry Robin’s grip off. “Let me go! I don’t even know your husband,” she tried to explain.
But no one paid attention to her words.
Andy lunged to protect Camila, but a crowd of wealthy women stepped in his way. They attacked him like wild animals, scratching and tearing at him, leaving his face a bloody mess.
Furious, Andy shouted, “Leave her alone! She’s Giovani’s woman. If you lay a hand on her, Giovani will make sure you regret it.
