Chapter 9
Emma ordered a few random dishes.
When the food comes, Olivia enthusiastically offers Ethan a plate of food, but Emma notices that she’s using communal chopsticks.
Emma wondered, when did Ethan become such a clean freak?
During the meal, Olivia suddenly said, “Emma, did you come back because of your work?”
“Uh–huh.” Emma nodded.
“Haha.” A happy smile appeared on Olivia’s face, “You’re back just in time, Ethan and I are engaged and will be getting married soon. I’d like to invite you to our wedding, after all you’re a witness to our years of friendship.”
“I’m going to the restroom.”
Emma didn’t want to listen to these boring words, and made an excuse to leave the
table.
I’ve seen people get offended, but I’ve never seen them get so offended by deliberately inviting their fiancé’s ex–wife to their wedding, and she didn’t think it was awkward, but I thought they were an eyesore!
But, strangely enough, they weren’t married, which surprised Emma.
Emma is in the restroom, applying makeup, and sees Olivia in the mirror. Her expression is a bit grim at the moment, and it’s completely different from the one in
front of Ethan.
Emma had already gotten used to it, during the three years of her marriage to Ethan, Olivia had always been like this, acting innocent and pitiful in front of Ethan, but once she left his sight, she would become extremely aggressive.
Just like now, she looked at Emma coldly: “Emma, I don’t care what you’re doing back here, but I’m telling you, don’t try to ruin the relationship between Ethan and me! You had nothing to do with it Give youre non and you’ll have nothing to do with it five years
Three Years to Love
Her gaze was sarcastic as she stared at Olivia, “But there is one thing I’m really curious about, how come you guys haven’t gotten married in five years?”
Emma’s words caused Olivia’s body to stiffen slightly, her face twisting, “None of your business! Anyway, now that I’m cured, I can get pregnant anytime, and Ethan’s grandfather has no reason to stop me from marrying into the Carter family!”
on her face.
