"Mr. Morgan is reviewing documents in his office right now," Cole said, trying to make conversation. "Is there something urgent? If so, I can help you handle it."

He was trying to gauge the situation. If something serious had happened, he wanted to be prepared and deal with it quickly.

She paused for a moment. Then, she turned to look at him. "Does Kieran know about Lila's breakup?"

Cole was caught off guard, but after years of working with Kieran, he had a good sense of things. He hesitated before answering, "I think he does."

She narrowed her eyes slightly. "So you're not sure if he knows, but you know?"

"And how long have you known?"
