Torn Between Love and Hate novel Chapter 224

Chapter 224 Exposure

Deborah’s face turned completely dark. There was no time to change clothes, so she could only grab the pajamas from

the sofa and drape them over herself.

But the lower half of the body was only wrapped in a bath towel, with a long stretch of leg still exposed.

And just like that, Mathias took one step at a time, walking closer to her.

At first, Deborah thought he had gone mad and come up with some crooked idea.

During dinner earlier, Mathias was not present; he probably just arrived recently.

He had a slight smell of alcohol on him, but he didn’t seem too intoxicated, not to the point of losing his senses.

Deborah soon discovered that his expression didn’t seem to suggest any ill intentions.

His gaze was peculiar, a mix of surprise and curiosity, as he stared intently at her.

Deborah took several steps back and angrily shouted, “Get out of here!”

Mathias suddenly reached out to her, extending his hand toward her left shoulder.

In a state of panic, Deborah quickly dodged, unable to care about anything else. She screamed loudly, “Help! Help!”

This man seemed to have gone mad. Alyssa was still lying in bed, and both mother and daughter could be in danger.

Deborah just realized now that it wasn’t her own misconception.

The moment she laid eyes on Mathias, she took an instant dislike to him, feeling a sense of disgust for no apparent.

reason.

She let out a few panicked cries, which woke up Alyssa, who was lying in bed.

Climbing up to see this scene, Alyssa quickly regained her composure.

Alyssa didn’t scream out loud. Instead, she noticed Mathias’ gaze fixed on Deborah, so she quietly got out of bed, barefoot, and quickly ran out of the bedroom.

Once she was outside the bedroom, she screamed at the top of her lungs, “Someone come quickly, please come help!”

Once they stepped out into the corridor, the shouting became much clearer.

Soon, the servants from downstairs all came running up.

Adrian was in the adjacent bedroom, still sitting on the sofa, feeling down because of the situation with Evelyn.

Soon, he faintly heard Deborah’s voice and immediately stood up, alert.

Outside, Alyssa’s scream rang out again. Adrian’s face darkened, and he rushed out in just a few strides.

Alyssa was so scared that she cried outside, while Adrian, like a gust of wind, rushed into the adjacent bedroom.

Mathias had his back to him, tugging at Deborah’s clothes.

“Take off your coat and let me see your back.”

In a split second, Adrian was nearly driven mad with anger. In his over thirty years of life, there had never been a moment when he had been this furious.

He cursed angrily, “Damn it, you son of a

Mathias body shuddered, and he bunsened his grip With a “thump,” he fell to the ground

Adrian was like an enraged Han, boxing all reason as he directly straddied Mathias’s stomach.

Using both his hands and feet, he fiercely punched with clenched fists while his legs pinned Mathias down. All the while, he spewed out a stream of thoughtless curses.

The entire Moxley family, except for Donna who was sound asleep in the backyard, didn’t hear any commotion.

The others hurriedly rushed over, and as soon as they entered, they saw Mathias being pinned to the ground by Adrian, who was furiously beating him.

borah was afraid that if something really happened, it would involve Adrian.

Seeing Mathias getting beaten until his eyes rolled back, she spoke up to stop it, “Enough, I’m fine.”

Steven and Norman hurried in, still not quite sure of the situation.

Seeing Deborah’s pale face, along with the towel wrapped around her body and only the upper half of her body covered by a coat, one could easily guess what had happened.

Steven asked out loud, “What’s going on?”

Adrian was riding on Mathias, gritting his teeth as he replied, “Damn it, he sneaked into the bedroom and tried to take advantage of Deborah.”

Steven’s tace quickly turned unpleasant, no longer intending to stop Adrian.

Rebecca said aloud, “My dad probably wouldn’t go that far. Could there be some misunderstanding? He might have

had a bit too much to drink.”

Others might not know about it, but Rebecca knew.

Mathias had some issues in that area down there, showing almost no interest and being quite indifferent. He and his wife, Cassandra, rarely engaged in intimate relations.

He had never had much interest in women.

Steven had always been a calm and composed person, but upon hearing this, he turned around and coldly snapped at Rebecca, “Get out, we don’t need you meddling here.”

Rebecca couldn’t help but feel annoyed as she replied, “He’s my dad, why can’t I say something?”

Steven lost his temper, “Once this is all settled, take your dad and get lost!”

Even if Mathias hadn’t done anything to Deborah, his intrusion into her bedroom was unforgivable.

What happened was just a little thing, but it was already too late for anything to be done.

Steven wasn’t as emotionally expressive as Adrian, but he subconsciously protected Deborah as well.

Moreover, Deborah was now a guest at Moxley Manor.

Rebecca’s face turned somewhat pale, and Cassandra stepped forward to stop hier, signaling her not to speak any

further.

Cassandra and Mathias came over late at night. Mathias had a few drinks and insisted on coming to see his daughter.

Cassandra had no choice but to follow his lead and let him stay overnight.

Who would have thought that he would get so drunk that he didn’t know which way was up as soon as he came over and when Cassandra wasn’t paying attention. Then, he ended up in Deborah’s bedroom.

Adrian took action, while Steven spoke up.

Norman didn’t say anything more, his face serious as he walked toward Deborah. “Sit down,” he said.

Deborah was a bit startled, her reaction slightly delayed.

After a while, she nodded and sat down on the sofa.

Norman picked up a blanket from nearby, spread it out, and draped it over her legs, covering the exposed part of her leg.

Adrian beat Mathias to the point of being unrecognizable, and Steven couldn’t help but feel increasingly infuriated. Unable to hold back any longer, he stepped forward and gave Mathias a kick as well.

Nora had always been well-mannered, but now, seeing Deborah sitting on the couch with a blank expression, her tone was quite unpleasant.

“Cassandra, don’t me for being blunt. My mother and I have been advising you to divorce for a long time. If you insist on keeping such a man, don’t bring him here again. In the Moxley family, we have many women, and it’s ridiculous to have to guard against thieves in our own home.”

Sebastian chimed in, “Your sister-in-law is blunt, but she’s right. Even if the Moxley family isn’t the best, they can still find you a better husband. Even if you end up divorced and living at Moxley Manor, they can still support you.”

Cassandra’s face was pale, and she didn’t say a word.

She also wanted to divorce Mathias, but he had something on her from the past that he could use to threaten her.

She didn’t dare to leave, fearing that the truth would be exposed.

As Mathias said, even if she tried to explain, who would believe that under those circumstances, she was completely

innocent?

At the very least, all these years, she has been concealing the truth about those matters, which is tantamount to shielding Mathias.

Nora glanced at the silent Cassandra, then looked angrily at Sebastian. “This is your sister and brother-in-law, so I

won’t say much.

But I’m putting my foot down. From now on, Mathias is not allowed to set foot in Moxley Manor. If Mom found out about this, she would be even angrier than I am!”

Donna loved Deborah and Alyssa very much, and she adored them both..
