Chapter 399

Sean noticed that, and he swept his glance across his surroundings. He felt uncomfortable and thought that it was getting a little too noisy. So, when he saw other people approaching Sharon, he said to her fiatly, “Ms. Newman, I’ll leave now since you’re getting busy.”

Sharon was surrounded by people that were trying to please her. All of them pretended to be very close to her with a smile on their faces. She could not reject them, and it was hard for her to entertain all of them. So, she could only look at Tony pushing Sean away helplessly.

Suddenly, she fell into a bad mood.

‘These people ruined my plan! They’re so annoying!

The banquet was crowded. Sean went past a lot of people after he left Sharon. Tony only stopped pushing him when they were beside Ricky.

“Dad, I’ve briefly talked to Ms. Newman. She’s a little busy right now. I’ll take my leave if there’s nothing else.” Sean said to the man, who was standing tall and upright.

Mr. Newman looked at him and asked, “Are you going to leave so soon? Don’t you want to spend more time here? I would love to have a chat with you.”

“Another time, perhaps. I’m a little tired today.” Sean looked cold. He was clearly not in the mood.

Mr. Newman knew that he had not fully recovered yet, so he did not want to force him to stay. He nodded and said, “Rest well, then.”

Ricky did not ask him too much either because he understood his son’s temper. He was already glad that Sean would attend the banquet, so he did not stop him from leaving.

Tony helped his boss to get into the car after leaving the banquet. He sat in the driver’s seat, and he was ready to go back home. He shifted the gear, but he heard Sean asking him suddenly.

“Tony, do you smell any perfume on me?”

Tony paused as he could not catch what Sean said. He only realized that Sean was asking about Sharon’s scent a few seconds later.

Tony guessed that Sean was probably worried that Molly would smell women’s perfume on him again like last time

He tumed around, and he stuck his nose toward Sean before he looked at him and said, “A little.”

Sean’s face darkened. He took off his blazer immediately and put it very far away from him.

Tony sal back in his seat as he applauded Molly to himself. ‘Ms. May is so powerful!’

Sean and Tony arrived home very shortly after.
