Chapter 46 Diana intentionally pinched Adam’s arm a little, but she quickly let him go and acted as if nothing had happened.
Adam frowned in pain as he looked toward Diana. He pursed his lips, and he looked rather upset at her. However, it only lasted for a brief second. He seemed to just notice that Diana had just cried and knew that it was not the best time to argue with her. Besides, Molly was present.
He pretentiously showed concern. “Why were you crying? It’ll be fine, and don’t worry, Mr. May Sr. is a good person, so good will follow him. He’ll be alright.” He patted Diana’s shoulder gently as he spoke, but his eyes lingered on Molly. His true intentions were obvious!
Molly did not spare him a glance.
And Diana was gritting her teeth as she cursed Molly in her head! ‘Since you’ve already left the May family, why did you come back? The May family doesn’t welcome you either. You changed a lot, and all you know now is seduce men.’
Diana could not stand it and act pitifully by saying, “It seems like grandpa really doesn’t like me. I should come back less often next time. Molly, grandpa is getting old. Since you’ve come back from overseas, why don’t you move back into the May Residence? That way, grandpa wouldn’t have to wear himself out by moving around. If you don’t want to see me, I won’t show up in front of you as well. Don’t worry.”
Though Diana sounded like she was sad and compromising, her words had a deeper meaning to them- –
Diana was taking one step back to take two steps forward, which was her favorite tactic. She would appear weak and put herself on the weaker side. But she would indirectly criticize Molly for being petty and narrow-minded, a person who would do anything to achieve her own goal, tormenting Grandpa Dave without taking his health into consideration.
