Chapter 674
Meanwhile, the police station.
After a night of interrogation, Queenie was detained in solitary under criminal detention.
There was no window in the dark room, and the only light source came from a dim yellow bulb.
Queenie looked at that weak light blankly as she felt dead inside.
She felt very depressed and suffocating after thinking about how she was going to be stuck here in this room and never see the light of day for the next month.
The hatred inside her grew even more ferociously under this threatening environment!
'Molly May...
'That b*tch is the only reason why I'm in here!
'I've never had a good day ever since she appeared in my life.'
Queenie could not and did not want to admit that Molly was simply better than her. she was not going to let Molly go that easily.
Queenie heard the door of the room being opened when she was all stirred up inside.
"Queenie!"
Gina was so worried about her daughter that she could not sleep for the whole night. 'I have to see my daughter no matter what.' She thought to herself when she was awake last night.
Her tears were rolling in her eyes as soon as she saw Queenie. "Mom!"
Queenie lifted her head and saw her mother, she became lively all of a sudden as she ran toward her mother, she hugged Gina and vented to her while crying.
"Mom, did you come to get me out of here? This is great. I don't want to spend another second here..."
That shabby place was unbearably stuffy, and she could not stand to be in there any longer.
However, Gina sighed while hugging her before she sadly said, " Queenie, I'm not here to get you out of this place.
"Not only Benjamin, but the person in charge of the Anderson Corporation, Sean, wanted you to be detained in here for a month. It's very difficult for me to get you out of here even if I were to pull some strings."
Queenie realized what was happening. "Does that mean that I have to spend the next month suffering here?
"Mom, I can't do this. I don't want to stay here. I'm going crazy..."
She shook her head vigorously as she felt very reluctant.
Gina felt heartbroken, but she could only persuade her patiently, " Hang in there. Just hang in there, my child! I'm going to figure something out to get you out of here, but you must give me some time, okay? Don't make me worry about you."
"Mom..."
Queenie felt a lump in her throat.
Gina hugged Queenie and patted her on the back before she emotionally said, "However, I'd never expect Benjamin to be so heartless. He just wouldn't forgive you no matter how I interceded for you. I've already moved out of the Forts Residence this morning. It looks like we can't depend on the Forts family anymore.
"I'll have to look for another place to stay now or I'll be homeless."
Queenie felt even sadder after hearing what Gina said.
