Troublemaker Boy novel Chapter 16

"Sam, tell me." Said Farrel pleading. "Who is Aretha Maharani?"

Across there, Ocean sighed heavily. "You're one step closer to your goal, keep working. The key is in you."

"Until when, Sam?" Farrel's voice rose. "That is if I can remember again. Otherwise? Until I die, I'll never find out who that girl is."

"I'm sure, you must be able to remember who he is. You managed to remember his name alone, it is a miracle."

"Yes, please!" Annoyed Farrel. "I'm going to have someone investigate what really happened to me five years ago."

"Do not try anything with me!" Warnings of the Ocean with a rising voice. "You can't ask anyone for help, you have to remember it yourself!"

"I don't care. Sooner or later, I'll find out what you've been hiding."

"It's useless, you won't find it."

"Is it true?" Farrel smiled crookedly. "Then, if you're sure I won't find him, why are you so nervous?"

"Up to you!" Ocean snapped annoyed, the man unilaterally disconnected his phone.

Farrel smiled meaningfully, if it's like this, nothing will be able to hinder his efforts. Blame them, who said they were family but covered up everything instead. Not giving Farrell access to remember his past, they told him to remember himself without wanting to help. Do they think Farrell is Google? Can know everything, no!

Farrel sighed, then walked to the window that reflected the expanse of London that afternoon. He looked around, this place feels familiar. In fact, it was his first time here like him. It wasn't work that led him here, but a little premonition related to his dream.

"Aretha Maharani," muttered Farrel softly. "Who are you?"

Sleepiness, that's what Dave had been feeling. His eyes were no longer able to open anymore, but still he could not fall asleep even though he had closed his eyes from his heart. The boy was lying on the bed, pulling the blanket because the weather was getting cold, and closed his eyes ready to go to sleep. However, he couldn't fall asleep.

This is all because of the arrival of Charles, his father. Huh, if that guy weren't her dad, Dave would be furious with him. What Dave learned at school, a father is a man who is responsible and has to guide the family. Not an obscure man whose hobbies are angry, hitting and coming home in the middle of the night. What kind of father is that?

Dave covered his ears with both hands, he felt like crying uncontrollably. Dad's return was a disaster, not a good thing. His friends at school often tell me that they are always waiting for their father to come home from work to have dinner together. In contrast to himself, who expected that his father did not have to go home at all.

"What kind of woman, are you ?! Incompetent!"

Charles's curses and scolding have become Ree and Dave's daily meals. This house will feel like hell when Charles comes home, it will be terrifying when he is here. And it all scared Dave, he was afraid if he had to be hit by his father because of a mistake he did not know why.

"Where's that damn kid ?!"

Dave gripped tightly on the sprey that covered his mattress, tears began to flow. He started crying. The sound of Charles's stomping was starting to come up the stairs, and in a moment the man would come into his room and start beating him. Dave did not know what was wrong, so every time Charles came home, he had to take a beating from the man who he said was the father.

"What do you want ?!" Ree's voice was heard, his mother, crying, held Charles back into his room.

"I want to teach him a lesson!" Charles yelled at Ree, Dave tightening his grip even more.

"What lesson?!" Ree replied no less loudly. "Stop beating him for no reason! He's already suffering so much because he has a father like you!"
