Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon) novel Chapter 468

Chapter 468

After lunch, Ava wanted to send a gift to Sherri. However, she did not know the exact location of the Blackwell family’s villa, so she could only ask Frank to accompany her.

Ever since Sherri gave birth to her baby, the Landor family and the Blackwell family successfully came together and became one big family.

Car stopped at the Blackwell family’s villa.

Frank led Ava inside and pressed the doorbell at the door. Neither of them had called Sherri or Hackett beforehand.

After the doorbell rang for a while, Joy came out to open the door. At first, she was a little surprised. “Frank… Come in quickly.”

“Hello, Mrs. Blackwell. I’m here to look for Sherri,” Ava said politely.

Joy invited, “Sherri is upstairs. Come in. Don’t stand outside.”

After they entered, Joy instructed the servants to prepare fruits and drinks. Then, she said to Frank, “Didn’t you call Hackett? He went to the company. This morning, his father told him the price of the building. He held the calculator and calculated for a long time because he felt that the price was inappropriate. After arguing with his father for a while, they both went to the company.”

“Take a seat first. I’ll go inform Sherri that we’ll be having dinner here tonight,” Joy said.

As soon as they entered, Joy had already arranged their dinner.

Joy ran upstairs anxiously. In the room, Juana was tidying up the bassinet while Sherri was breastfeeding. Seeing her mother-in-law grinning, Sherri asked curiously, “Joy, what are you so happy about?”

“I’m just happy for your mother. Frank and his fiancée are downstairs. I asked them to stay for dinner just now. When the time comes, call your son and Dr. Rose over. Wouldn’t that be perfect?” Joy replied.

Joy had a well-arranged plan.

Sherri said uncertainly, “Moms, isn’t this very awkward? My brother and sister are both at the dining table, and my brother-in-law, who is also my brother.” There would probably be an awkward silence.

He was not very good at talking, and Frank had a cold personality. What did they rely on to ease the atmosphere? Perhaps the two mothers could help.

To be honest, Sherri was afraid that it would backfire.

“I don’t think so. I thought the Roberts family didn’t object to your brother being with Dr. Rose. That means they don’t object. It’s fine to have a meal together,” Joy reassured Sherri.

Juana voiced her thoughts. “Actually, this isn’t a deliberate arrangement. Didn’t Dr. Rose give the child a lot of gifts? Shouldn’t you thank her? You should at least invite her over for a meal,” she suggested.

“Isn’t that just nice? Your brother is going home for dinner too. In addition, Frank and the others happened to come today. Isn’t this a coincidence?” Sherri exclaimed.

“Yes, Sherri. Your mother is right. We have

to thank her,” Joy agreed with Juana’s analysis.

Sherri thought, “Most importantly, your purpose is not just to treat us to a meal, but to observe Frank’s attitude. Isn’t this intentional? What else could be considered intentional? Tying the two of them to the bed?

“Or consummate the marriage on the spot?”

Under the heated gazes of his two mothers and their urging, Sherri finally picked up his phone and sent a message to Rose. [Sister, come to the Blackwell family for dinner tonight.]

Everyone else was left waiting for Rose’s reply in the hospital. She did not reply immediately, likely because she was at work.

Sherri showed the phone screen to the two mothers and confirmed that the message had been successfully sent. He expressed his frustration, saying that it was really difficult. He felt like he was just a tool after confinement.

Downstairs, Ava and Frank were sitting side by side. The coffee tables were already filled with fruits and dried fruits for them. Ava asked Frank, “Frank, is Hackett good at math?”

Frank hesitated for a moment but eventually admitted, “Yes, he’s quite outstanding in mathematics and has a strong aptitude. for numbers.”

“But usually, I can’t tell at all. Hackett always seems like he doesn’t care about anything and is always cheerful.”

Frank replied, “That’s just his personality. He can be a bit silly at times.”

His brain had not developed for nothing. It was indeed useful, but he tended to be lazy and not fully utilize it.

Ava was speechless.

Chapter 468

Every time there was a building opening, Hackett would always meticulously calculate the price using a calculator.

About an hour later, Frank, feeling full from drinking water, noticed that Hackett had still not returned. He took out his phone and was about to call Hackett.

Hackett’s phone rang behind him. Without turning his head, Frank knew that Hackett had returned. He reached out his fingertips and hung up the call.

As soon as Hackett entered, he saw the two people sitting on the sofa. “Ava, why are you here? Are you here to see me?”

Frank turned sideways to look at Hackett, who was still standing at the door. “How dare you say that? We’re not here to see you.

“Frank, I’m going to look for my sister,” Ava said as she stood up and left.

Looking at the little girl’s back, he asked, “Has the price been set? Is it you who’s wrong, or is it Uncle wrong?”

Hackett said proudly, “When did I ever make a mistake? It must be the old man’s fault. He didn’t stay in the company to handle the aftermath.” If he had made a mistake, Nathan would surely have left him to deal with the consequences. Only the old man himself might feel a bit inferior.

“Have dinner here tonight. It’s rare for you to come over, so I have to treat you to a meal. Do you want to invite Rose as well? Since you’ve accepted the gift, you have to arrange the meal. You can’t just be a freeloader.”

Frank didn’t immediately agree with Hackett’s suggestion. Instead, he asked, “Is Edward joining us for dinner tonight?” “How is that possible? He’s busy. He picked up your sister in the morning, took her to lunch, and then dropped her off after work. Don’t you think that Edward Landor’s schedule might not align with my family’s mealtime?” Hackett replied. Hackett felt that Edward was even busier than a taxi driver. He couldn’t fathom how many miles he had to drive in a day. Frank said, “If he can’t even see Rose off, he should distance himself from her as soon as possible. Many people would gladly see my sister off.”

“Tsk, tsk, you’re so protective of your sister. You didn’t mention that no one is pursuing Rose. Are you also advocating for my brother-in-law?” Hackett responded.
