Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon) novel Chapter 619

At the end of the year, in the past, all employees who worked at Yamin Group would go to Yamin Hospital in batches for a physical examination. However, this year was different from previous years. The Yamin Group empathized with employees and did not bear to see them wait in line at the hospital.

The person in charge called all the doctors and nurses from Yamin Hospital to the company for a physical examination.

Of course, this was just the announcement released by the company, and only the boss knew the specific reasons.

The spacious meeting rooms were all transformed into examination areas. Blue curtains separated small sections where doctors conducted ultrasound examinations, collected blood samples, performed electrocardiograms, and more. It resembled a small hospital with comprehensive facilities.

The nurses from Yamin Hospital were very surprised when they were notified to come to the company. After all, the employees had always come to the hospital for a checkup in the past. When one of them asked Chris, Chris only said that it was an order from the higher-ups.

Actually, Chris did not know what was wrong with Charlie to make them carry the equipment to the company for a checkup. Not to mention that it was very troublesome to move so much equipment to the company, doing the physical examination in the company was not as convenient as the hospital.

However, Angie and Charlie were both determined. Chris could not dissuade them and could only agree.

After all, the status of a single man at home was quite low.

In an instant, every examination area was filled with people, and nurses and doctors, all wearing masks, were unsure about the significance of this wave of operations. Chris lowered his head with a stethoscope hanging around his neck, examining an employee. After listening for a while, he furrowed his brow and asked, "Is your heartbeat usually this fast?"

The employee answered honestly, "Recently."

The employees waiting in line behind thought she was excited about a handsome guy, causing her heart to race, but little did they know she was genuinely feeling unwell. Whispers spread among the people around.

Some tilted their heads and watched.

After listening for a while, Chris said in his usual tone, "Go next door and collect a blood sample, then do an electrocardiogram."

The employee said, "Thank you, doctor."

The employees behind her took their turns sitting on the chairs. Chris asked questions, they responded, and then moved on to the examination. For employees with special circumstances that couldn't be addressed on-site, Chris advised them to go to the hospital for further examination.

It took almost three and a half hours to cross off all the names on the list. Everyone's necks were moving, and their backs were sore. This was much more tiring than doing checks in the hospital.

A nurse twisted her neck from left to right. "Dr. Yamin, how about suggesting to the management that they go for the annual health check-up at the hospital next year?"

It was too tiring and inconvenient.

Everyone in Yamin Hospital knew that Chris was the young master of the Yamin Group. However, Chris did not look like an arrogant young master. After they worked together for a long time, they naturally forgot his other identity.

Chris tidied up the things on the table and called the person who moved the equipment. He stuffed the stethoscope into the pocket of his white coat and replied in a calm and helpless tone, "Don't put your hopes on me. Don't trick me into going home and getting scolded."

Upon hearing this, everyone smiled. Everyone in the hospital knew that Chris was in a state where his mother was urging him to get married. His life was not easy. Some people teased. "Then find a girlfriend, and your family status will be resolved."

Chris suddenly rolled his eyes at the person who spoke. "Marriage is no child's play. Do you think it's as simple as going to the market to buy vegetables?"

Finding a girlfriend, getting married, and having children were not easy tasks.

An older doctor nodded, "Dr. Yamin's consideration is both right and wrong. People in our profession may need to perform surgeries at any time. If you find a wife who understands, it's good. But if you marry someone who doesn't understand, balancing married life and work can be very challenging. My wife is very understanding, but if you want to find someone as tolerant as her, it's not easy."

Chris was speechless for a moment. Since when did he want to find someone of the same style as his wife? He didn't have such a thought at all.

Everyone at the scene laughed. This was a doctor who often talked about his wife. Whenever everyone talked about his wife's problems, he would bring up his wife to show off.

Chris glanced at the smiling nurses and doctors. "Don't act like my mom. Let's go. Don't tell me you want to have dinner here after the checkup."

A nurse said, "So what is the purpose of this health check-up? No, it should be, what is our purpose in coming here this time?"

Another nurse said, "Take a break and put away your curiosity. The boss's mind is not something you can think of. You just have to think that your salary today is three times that."

With that said, the nurse no longer dwelled on this issue. "That's true. I've decided to buy a milkshake to treat myself."

When most of the nurses and doctors walked out of the door, the nurse checking the name list called out to Chris, who was also about to leave. "Dr. Yamin, there are still two people who haven't been examined. It's Stella and Leia. Do we need to call them?"

When Chris heard his sister's name, he replied without hesitation, "No need. Let's go."

He ignored the other name. He felt that there would be a physical examination every year. The first batch of people who did not make it would be examined at the hospital later. There was no need to worry.

Nurse wondered, 'Is that okay? Alright, you are the young master. You have the final say.'

In the Yamins' Villa, Angie was on the phone in the living room, nodding from time to time. At first, she was still smiling, but after hearing what the person on the other end said, her smile froze. "He just left without calling?"

Her voice was even louder.

The person on the other end of the phone said, "Yes, when a nurse mentioned that two people hadn't undergone the examination yet and asked if Dr. Yamin wanted them to call them, he said there's no need to call, just let them go."

Angie was so angry that she almost couldn't breathe and held her chest with one hand. She had gone through the trouble of making a list for him, but it seemed like everything was in vain. For Chris to find a girlfriend and get married, Angie had put in so much effort, yet it seemed all for nothing. Holding back her frustration, Angie said, "I understand. Thank you."

After a few more words, Angie hung up. After ending the call, Angie suddenly felt that the peanuts in front of her and the TV show were no longer enjoyable.
