The next morning.
Due to Trevon's hard work of taking care of the kid at home last night, when Natalie returned, she gave a great compliment.
That man walked down the stairs and tidied his sleeves. He had a smile on his lips and was in high spirits. His face was filled with satisfaction. If not for the child, he would not be willing to wear a scarf around his neck.
Natalie followed behind and glared at the unrestrained man. "It's raining heavily today. Are you driving or is Jim picking you up? I'm not going to work today."
Trevon turned around and looked at Natalie's leg with a faint smile. "If you're tired, rest well at home." Then, he reached out to help her up and whispered into her ear, "Next time we go to Evergreen Gardens, that function hasn't been used for a long time. You must have broken the record last night."
His arm was pinched. Trevon retracted his smile and said seriously, "Jim took leave today. I'll drive there myself."
When a man changed his face, it was done in an instant. It was as if he wasn't the despicable person just now.
Natalie's head was dizzying as she looked at her mischievous daughters who looked like two crazy bulls as soon as they woke up running downstairs. Sophia was holding a submachine gun and carrying a bag as she played PUBG. Olivia played along with her, but she was not as high as Sophia, jumping up and down from the coffee table.
Caleb did not seem to see it. He calmly read the newspaper. Jasper sat on the sofa and watched his younger sisters play expressionlessly. The entire family was already immune to such a scene like a war. Even Rachel was used to it and did not stop them.
Natalie didn't want to stop them either. "Didn't Mr. Hawk never take leave? Did he go back to his hometown?"
For so many years, she seemed to have only heard of Mr. Hawk working overtime and had never heard of him taking leave. This made Natalie curious.
Trevon's thin lips curled up. "It's almost Christmas. Jim is also starting to think about having a date. I heard from Terrell that he went on a blind date today."
"Blind date?" Natalie's voice suddenly rose a few octaves, and there was a hint of surprise on her face.
"Yes, Terrell said it. I think Jim must have been flaunting before him. He said that someone in the secretary department knows a good single girl. She is teaching English in Athana High School and is also a head teacher. Quite a good woman. I don't know if he can succeed."
Upon hearing this, Natalie understood. "Mr. Hawk is a good guy and well-paid. I think that girl is in a good profession, quite compatible with Mr. Hawk. One is an elite in the workplace, and the other is a high school teacher. What a match. Give Mr. Hawk more holiday. Don't make him work overtime. He needs more weekends."
Trevon said, "Got it, honey. I thought he had a chance to get in touch with Ava's friends."
Natalie knew who this guy was talking about. When Ava got married, this man had once said something mean. "Then you're thinking too much. Alex is the same as Stella. They enjoy the life of staying single."
"It's fine. Have a good rest at home. Call me if you're feeling unwell. I'm sending the kids to school. Sophia, Olivia, let's go. Stop playing. Time for school!" Trevon stood in the living room and raised his hand to look at his watch. He shouted at his two daughters, who were still jumping around.
Hearing this, Sophia immediately put the toy gun in his hand in Caleb's arms and said politely to his family, "Grandpa, Grandma, Mommy, goodbye."
Olivia and Jasper also replied them politely. This was a courtesy that the children had to observe after school.
The next year.
Rose used Ava's method to successfully conceive her third child. Just as Edward was puzzled about how she got pregnant, Rose laughed and told Edward that secret method.
Edward had learned a principle from Rose's pregnancy. As long as Rose wanted to get pregnant, there was nothing that could stop her. It was impossible to prevent her from achieving her goal.
About a year later, Rose had a cesarean section. Edward had accompanied her. Sherri had operated the surgery because she was pregnant with twins, a serious situation. However, she did not have the result as Rose had hoped. It seemed that she would never have a daughter. In Edward's words, with four sons managing the company, he could travel the world with Rose when they got old.
That was a nice thing in another sense.
The new boys' names were Vincent and Dalton.
Everyone was living in a proper rhythm. The girls would gather around for a meal from time to time. After Jim's blind date was successful, he started dating a high school teacher. Trevon showed great tolerance to allow Jim to rest one day a week and four days a month during the relationship.
However, Terrell was extremely envious. Recently, he had been asking Jim to introduce a girl to him.
A few years later.
Lena didn't make it at last. Natalie set the funeral service in the Foster's residence. It was placed for three days before it was sent for cremation and buried beside Jenny and her grandfather.
After leaving the cemetery, Tucker wanted to say something but hesitated. Natalie could tell that he had something to say. "Just say what you want. There's no need to stammer."
They walked side by side. "Natalie, can I continue to live in the Foster's residence?"
He wanted to guard this house for his sister and grandfather. The house was filled with the memories of their past time. It was also a life he wanted to have but could not touch when he was young.
Natalie stroked her brother's neck like a warm angel. The next second, she held Trevon and her brother's wrists. The others followed behind them.
"Sure. You've graduated from college now. You should have your own opinions. You can make your own decisions. You can live wherever you want."
Tucker knew that his sister would agree, but this house belonged to his sister. He should gain her permission in advance, "Okay, then I'll stay in the Foster's residence." He would guard it for his sister.
When Lena was buried, Natalie and Trevon asked their children to kneel. Jasper's life was saved by Lena. Jasper had to show his respect. They had to take a bow.
The twins finished the rituals and ran back to their parents. But Jasper was unwilling to get up from the ground. He only got up and bowed three times after all the procedures.
After leaving the cemetery, Caleb got the children into the car and said to Trevon, "I'll take the kids home first. If you and Natalie have anything to deal with, go ahead. Don't worry about them."
Natalie nodded in gratitude. "Thank you. Sophia, be quiet. Stop causing trouble and listen to your Grandpa and Grandma."
Sophia answered perfunctorily, "Okay, got it."
Jim stood beside Trevon. "Mr. Wilson, I'll drive them back first."
"Yeah. Be careful."
"Okay."
50 minutes later, Trevon's car arrived at the Foster's residence. The courtyard was still in the funeral's decoration. Natalie thought that since his brother was going to live here, it might be a scary thing.
