Turning Of The Tide (Natalie and Trevon) novel Chapter 706

After dinner, Liam and Ruby leaned close to each other in the living room. Liam was sharing interesting things about school with Ruby. Joy was sitting at the side watching television, listening, and occasionally joining the conversation. Nathan stayed aside, listening quietly.

Joy and Nathan were very happy that Ruby and Liam were close.

Compared to the harmony downstairs, the atmosphere upstairs was not as harmonious. It was a little like a world war. The blanket and pillows were thrown to the ground.

The battle was still ongoing. Sherri threw herself onto the bed because she threw the pillow forcefully. Hackett, who was hiding by the door frame to avoid the pillow, saw that his wife had fallen. He quickly walked to the bed and picked Sherri up. He hugged her and apologized in a low voice, "I was wrong. I was wrong. I was wrong, okay?"

Hackett turned his face sideways and said in a playful tone, "Why don't you hit me again to vent your anger? Hit me here. I promise I won't fight back."

He pointed at his cheek and went all out.

As he spoke, Sherri struggled to raise her hand. She did not want to be hugged by him. When she saw his handsome face, she suddenly could not bear to hit him. In fact, last night, Sherri thought that Hackett was quite manly actually. He was especially domineering and suppressed her everywhere. She complained, "Hackett, you don't care about me at all. I think your love for me has reached its limit."

"Are you kidding me? Wasn't my love last night deep enough? It's already as deep as the sea. I was wrong, alright? I promise there won't be a next time." Hackett raised his hands and swore, making a surrendering gesture.

Sherri's heart softened. She was in the wrong in the first place. She pouted her lips aggrievedly and said coquettishly, "Dear Hackett, I was wrong. Please forgive me."

Hearing this, Hackett suddenly held her chin and kissed her hard. Sherri had just recovered some energy. She raised her hand and hugged Hackett's neck to kiss him. Just as the two of them gradually lost control, the door of the room was opened and closed.

It was very fast.

The people in the room parted their lips. Before they could see who came in, Liam, who was outside the door, realized that he seemed to have been too careless. Ruby followed behind him, so she did not see her parents inside. She asked, "What are you doing?"

Liam scratched his neck in embarrassment. As a big boy, his neck began to turn slightly red when he saw his parents making out. "Um, um... Dad might be a little busy. I'll ask him later."

Ruby glanced at the closed door and looked at her brother suspiciously. She asked with concern, "Why are you looking for Dad?"

"My pocket money is gone." Liam smiled and scratched his neck in embarrassment.

"How much did you use to dye your hair?" Hackett was afraid that his son would become a wastrel. He carefully planned Liam's pocket money. 3 thousand dollars a month. He never gave Liam more.

1,600 dollars? Liam used half of his monthly pocket money in just one week. Ruby thought that Liam should have no money now.

Ruby knew her younger brother well. Not only did he not have enough clothes, but he probably went home because he did not have any money. "Could it be that you borrowed the taxi fare?"

As expected, Ruby really knew Liam well. Liam smiled awkwardly. He first stretched out five fingers and then put one of them down. "I only borrowed 40 dollars."

Ruby hit her younger brother's arm. She felt helpless. "I really don't know what to say about you. Let's go. How much do you want?"

Liam eagerly followed his sister to her room. He walked quickly. He stood at the side and raised a finger to answer his sister how much he wanted.

Ruby looked at the raised finger and guessed that her younger brother definitely did not want 200 dollars. "Two thousand dollars?"

Liam nodded vigorously, meaning that his sister had guessed correctly.

"No. 1,200 dollars at most."

Liam was definitely unwilling to have one-third of the money cut off. He used all his energy to shake Ruby's arm. "Ruby, just once. Just treat it as compensation you give me for hiding your relationship with Jasper from me. You have to make up for my injured heart. I'll buy a pair of shoes. I guarantee that I'll save money from now on."

Under her brother's pestering, Ruby finally compromised and transferred two thousand dollars to her brother. She warned coldly, "There won't be a next time."

When Liam received the transfer, he was so happy that his heart skipped a beat. He said sweetly, "My big sister is the best. I love you. Love you very much. I'm leaving. Just chat with Jasper... No, he's my brother-in-law now. I won't disturb you."

Now that he had the money, he was going to buy the shoes.

Looking at her little brother's cheerful back, Ruby shook her head helplessly and turned around to return to her room.

In the room, Sherri and Hackett almost had sex again. At the critical moment, Hackett flipped over and lay on the bed. He held Sherri's hand and stopped her. "Stop trying to turn me on, or I'll really be crippled."

Sherri said, "Weren't you quite energetic last night?"

"Do you think I'm like a robot or something? No more sex today. Just stop Tell me what you want to eat. I'll try all means to get whatever you like."

Meeting Sherri's hungry and strange gaze, Hackett subconsciously covered his body. "Apart from me, you should recover your vitality. When we are both better, let's enjoy sex again, okay?"

"Alright, I'm quite tired too. My heels are like cotton. I want to eat beef stew, roast pork trotters, cake, ice cream, and..."

Hackett was willing to buy her food and had the money to buy her whatever she liked. But seeing that she didn't have the intention to stop, he was afraid that he had to finish what she couldn't afford to eat. "Stop! Easy! That's too much. I don't want to die of eating too much."

If he died of that, he would be embarrassed even in his funeral after he was dead.

Sherri thought that Hackett hadn't eaten either. She was woken up by Hackett. After waking up, she didn't look at her phone and didn't know what time it was. "Alright. Just the food I've talked about."

"Alright, I'll prepare food for you now." As soon as he finished speaking, Hackett sat up like a carp and kissed Sherri heavily before leaving the room to prepare dinner hurriedly.
