Twins in Her Womb (Bianca and Luke Crawford novel) novel Chapter 3466

When Ray heard that there was a 90% chance of success, he could not help but ask, “Can you walk me through your plan?”

“The prison where Kassy is being held actually has an underground passage. I’ve already spoken with the prison officials, and we can use that passage to transport her out. It connects to the sewage system, which leads directly to another detention facility.

"The only catch is that this facility’s underground pipes don’t connect to the outside world, so the remaining 10% risk lies in moving Kassy onto the main road and securing her at the new location.

“This whole operation can be done without anyone noticing, which is why I’m confident it’ll work.” As Luke explained, he pulled out a detailed map of the sewer system. “Here’s the layout I had someone retrieve. This is the starting point, and this is the destination. If we take this route, we can move Kassy without alerting Abel’s people.”

Abel’s men were keeping a constant watch outside the prison now. That was precisely why Ray found this plan so risky.

“This is a solid plan,” admitted Ray.

“Since you think so too, I’ll go ahead and put things in motion,” replied Luke.

Technically speaking, the prison had no reason to follow Luke’s orders.

However, he was the one who had sent Kassy there in the first place, and he had also provided them with valuable intelligence.

Hence, they were now on high alert.

The prison staff knew that outsiders were keeping watch, and they were aware that no matter how well they disguised prisoner transfers, Abel’s men would immediately have their suspicions if they saw the transport vehicles.

There was no way to counteract this constant surveillance.

The prison authorities actually saw Luke’s plan as a viable solution.

By secretly transferring Kassy to another facility, they could ease their own security burden. If trouble did break out, at least they would not have to worry about an escape.

So, after a discreet high-level meeting, the prison officials decided to approve Luke’s plan.

“This isn’t my turf, so I can’t do much to help. But if you need extra manpower, I can provide some,” said Ray.

Luke shook his head. “Thanks, but it’s better if you keep your men with you.”

“Why?” Ray was puzzled.

“Luca confessed everything to Abel in order to be allowed out and treat Vivian. She had no choice. She needed to ensure our future plans could proceed smoothly. Abel won’t act rashly at the moment, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t secretly watching you.

"If he realizes your forces are stretched thin, he might get suspicious or do something that puts you at a disadvantage. You need to keep your men close to ensure your own security.”

Luke did not want Ray to overthink things or suspect that he did not trust him, so he made sure to explain everything clearly.

Ray nodded. “Alright, I’ll keep my men stationed here. But there’s one more thing—I’m certain Abel will try to plant someone inside the prison. You need to make sure that everyone involved in this operation is trustworthy.”

“I’ve already taken care of that. I discussed it with the prison officials, and they agreed to let me use my own people. They trust that I won’t overstep any boundaries, so they approved the plan,” assured Luke.

“Good. That’s a relief.” Ray let out a sigh of relief.

With everything settled, Luke suddenly thought of Gordan who was probably still lying around, half-dead, in the other room. He stood up, ready to leave.

Hearing the sound of the door opening and closing, Vivian peeked out from her room.

She looked at Ray and said in a soft voice, “Ray, I heard everything you guys were talking about just now.”

“Yeah, we weren’t trying to hide it from you,” replied Ray.
